1. Choose 2 topic of your interest.

2. Identify 2 theoretical issues related to each of that topic.
3. Research on the theoretical backing of these issues and how other researchers approached this
problem – i.e., variables used, method, etc.
4. Formulate the title of each, hence 4 titles.
5. Have one approved by your adviser – must be approved on or before NOV 22, 11:59 PM
6. Write your Journal-type paper following the IMRaD format (Introduction, Method, Results and
Discussion).
7. Follow the PLM BS-DE Research/Thesis Writing format in terms of the page look, borders,
pagination, spacing, margin, font, etc.
8. The tone of the paper must be the 3rd PERSON ALWAYS.
9. Submission and presentation of full paper for adviser’s endorsement: DECEMBER 06, 2021.
10. Submission to Panel: December 11, 2021
11. FINAL DEFENSE: December 16 & 17, 2021
12. FOCUS ON USING TIME SERIES ECONOMETRICS AND THE STATISTICAL DIAGNOSTICS
DISCUSSED IN CLASS. No need to go any further than that.

Title Page & Abstract

(with acknowledgment and other info at the bottom portion after the keywords, in single space,
italicized, times new roman, 10)

I. INTRODUCTION
✓ Contains basically chapter 1 and 2 of the traditional Chapter 1 of research
✓ The rationale of the paper, basis of variables and principles, the issue/s the paper
wants to solve, the general parameters of the paper
II. METHODOLOGY
✓ Contains basically the detailed discussion of the scope and limitations, the data, data
gathering procedures, the conceptual framework and derivation of the econometric
model from its functional to its transformed and final model.
III. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
✓ Contains basically chapter 4 and 5 of the traditional research format
IV. BIBLIOGRAPHY
✓ Must be in APA format
