Tawbah 51

9:51

َ ‫ب ٱهَّلل ُ َل َنا ه َُو َم ْو َل ٰى َنا ۚ َو َع َلى ٱهَّلل ِ َف ْل َي َت َو َّك ِل ْٱلم ُْؤ ِم ُن‬
‫ون‬ َ ‫قُل لَّن يُصِ ي َب َنٓا إِاَّل َما َك َت‬
Say, “Nothing will ever befall us except what Allah has destined for us. He is our Protector.” So in
Allah let the believers put their trust. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Say, "Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector." And
upon Allah let the believers rely. — Saheeh International

Yunus 107

10:107

‫ك ِب َخي ٍْر َفاَل َرٓا َّد‬ َ ِ‫ك ٱهَّلل ُ ِبضُرٍّ َفاَل َكاش‬
َ ‫ف َل ُهۥٓ إِاَّل ه َُو ۖ َوإِن ي ُِر ْد‬ َ ْ‫مْسس‬
َ ‫َوإِن َي‬
‫لِ َفضْ لِهِۦ ۚ يُصِ يبُ ِبهِۦ َمن َي َشٓا ُء ِمنْ عِ َبا ِدهِۦ ۚ َوه َُو ْٱل َغفُو ُر ٱلرَّ حِي ُم‬
and ‘If Allah touches you with harm, none can undo it except Him. And if He intends good for you,
none can withhold His bounty. He grants it to whoever He wills of His servants. And He is the All-
Forgiving, Most Merciful.’” — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He intends
for you good, then there is no repeller of His bounty. He causes it to reach whom He wills of His
servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. — Saheeh International

Hud 6, 56

11:6

ِ ْ‫َو َما مِن دَٓا َّب ٍة فِى ٱأْل َر‬

َ ‫ض إِاَّل َع َلى ٱهَّلل ِ ِر ْزقُ َها َو َيعْ َل ُم مُسْ َت َقرَّ َها َومُسْ َت ْو‬
ۚ ‫دَع َها‬
‫ين‬ ٍ ‫ُك ٌّل فِى ِك َت ٰـ‬
ٍ ‫ب م ُِّب‬
There is no moving creature on earth whose provision is not guaranteed by Allah. And He knows
where it lives and where it is laid to rest. All is ˹written˺ in a perfect Record 1. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab,
the Clear Quran

And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of
dwelling and place of storage2. All is in a clear register. — Saheeh International

11:56

َّ‫ت َع َلى ٱهَّلل ِ َربِّى َو َر ِّب ُكم ۚ مَّا مِن دَٓا َّب ٍة إِاَّل ه َُو َءاخ ٌِذ ِب َناصِ َي ِت َهٓا ۚ إِن‬ُ ‫إِ ِّنى َت َو َّك ْل‬
‫َربِّى َع َل ٰى صِ ٰ َرطٍ مُّسْ َتق ٍِيم‬
I have put my trust in Allah—my Lord and your Lord. There is no living creature that is not
completely under His control3. Surely my Lord’s Way is perfect justice4. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the
Clear Quran

Indeed, I have relied upon Allah, my Lord and your Lord. There is no creature but that He holds it by
its forelock [i.e., controls it]. Indeed, my Lord is on a path [that is] straight. — Saheeh International

Ankabut 60

29:60

‫َو َكأَيِّن مِّن دَٓا َّب ٍة اَّل َتحْ ِم ُل ِر ْز َق َها ٱهَّلل ُ َيرْ ُزقُ َها َوإِيَّا ُك ْم ۚ َوه َُو ٱل َّسمِي ُع ْٱل َعلِي ُم‬
How many are the creatures that cannot secure their provisions! ˹It is˺ Allah ˹Who˺ provides for
them and you ˹as well˺. He is indeed the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear
Quran

And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is
the Hearing, the Knowing. — Saheeh International

Fatir 2

35:2

‫ك َل َها ۖ َو َما يُمْ سِ كْ َفاَل مُرْ سِ َل َلهُۥ م ِۢن‬

َ ِ‫اس مِن رَّ حْ َم ٍة َفاَل مُمْ س‬ ِ ‫مَّا َي ْف َت ِح ٱهَّلل ُ لِل َّن‬
‫َبعْ ِدهِۦ ۚ َوه َُو ْٱل َع ِزي ُز ْٱل َحكِي ُم‬
Whatever mercy Allah opens up for people, none can withhold it. And whatever He withholds, none
but Him can release it. For He is the Almighty, All-Wise. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran

Whatever Allah grants to people of mercy - none can withhold it; and whatever He withholds - none
can release it thereafter. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. — Saheeh International

Zumar 38

39:38

 َ ْ‫ت َوٱأْل َر‬
‫ض َل َيقُولُنَّ ٱهَّلل ُ ۚ قُ ْل أَ َف َر َء ْي ُتم مَّا‬ ِ ‫َو َلئِن َسأ َ ْل َتهُم مَّنْ َخ َل َق ٱل َّس َم ٰـ ٰ َو‬
‫ت ضُرِّ ِهۦٓ أَ ْو‬ ُ ‫ون ٱهَّلل ِ إِنْ أَ َرادَ ن َِى ٱهَّلل ُ ِبضُرٍّ َه ْل هُنَّ َك ٰـشِ َف ٰـ‬
ِ ‫ُون مِن ُد‬ َ ‫َت ْدع‬
‫ت َرحْ َم ِتهِۦ ۚ قُ ْل َحسْ ِب َى ٱهَّلل ُ ۖ َع َل ْي ِه َي َت َو َّك ُل‬ُ ‫أَ َرادَ نِى ِب َرحْ َم ٍة َه ْل هُنَّ مُمْ سِ َك ٰـ‬
‫ْٱل ُم َت َو ِّكلُ َـ‬
‫ون‬
If you ask them ˹O Prophet˺ who created the heavens and the earth, they will certainly say, “Allah!”
Ask ˹them˺, “Consider then whatever ˹idols˺ you invoke besides Allah: if it was Allah’s Will to harm
me, could they undo that harm? Or if He willed ˹some˺ mercy for me, could they withhold His
mercy?” Say, “Allah is sufficient for me. In Him ˹alone˺ the faithful put their trust.” — Dr. Mustafa
Khattab, the Clear Quran

And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allah."
Say, "Then have you considered5 what you invoke besides Allah? If Allah intended me harm, are they
removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say,
"Sufficient for me is Allah; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers." — Saheeh International
