FALL WORKSHOP UPDATE
Greetings from the
Executive
The registration for the Fall Workshop is
now posted on the OACP website:
www.oacp.ca under the Events Tab
Registration is only via the OACP website.
Please follow the instructions carefully for
registration.
This years workshop will be hosted by the
Saugeen Shores Police Service.
The location will be the Unifor Family
Education Centre, 115 Shipley Avenue

Monday September 29th and 30th. The
LEARN conference will follow on Oct.1st
and 2nd.
The All Chiefs Bulletin has also been
distributed by the Ministry of Community
Safety and Correctional Services.
Participants for Day 1 & 2 have been
increased to 120. There will not be a
beginner day. Our agendas are attached.
The Unifor Family Education Centre is a
unique facility which is all inclusive.
Your room rate will include your meals
from check in date to check out. There are
tennis courts, a large gym, full weight room,
and the host agency will have a yoga
instructor one of the evenings bring your
mat if you have one and your singing voice
for karoke.
Our Host Agency has planned many evening
activities for us including a campfire so
make sure you bring appropriate outdoor
clothing.
Port Elgin is located on the beautiful
shoreline of Lake Huron and is listed as
one of Ontario’s best kept vacation secrets.
The area is filled with natural beauty and
award winning sunsets.
FOIPN Elections: You will be required to submit a Bio about
yourself and be prepared to deliver it on
Day 1. Please remember to seek approval

This decision is not without a lot of thought
and some anguish. I will remain in the Regards
position until the end of the year.

Being on the FOIPN has been such a great
learning experience for me. It gave me an Chair
opportunity to network across the province
and I have enjoyed the many friendships I
have made. I have also had the opportunity
to work with a group of phenomenal ladies
on the Executive past and present.

The knowledge I have gained has been

invaluable. At times it can be a lot of hard
work and you really need the support of
your Service which I was fortunate to have.

I really encourage you to get involved and

consider one of the available positions.

We will receive nominations on Day 1 and

the elections will take place on Day 2.
