Introduction:
Sapphire Textile Mills Limited is a vertically integrated
composite textile unit, manufacturing cotton yarn, fabric and home
textile products. ... STML was incorporated as a public limited
company in Pakistan in 1969 and its shares are listed on Karachi Stock
Exchange.

Pakistan has one of the largest canal irrigation systems in the world.

Fourth largest grower in the World.

Textile accounts for over 60 % of the total exports.

Most modern and organized textile production setup.

More than 50 years history of accumulated textile know-how.

Well-established infrastructure of textile management and skilled


labor.

Sapphire Textile Mills Limited is a vertically integrated composite


textile unit, manufacturing cotton yarn, fabric and home textile
products. STML is the flagship company of the Sapphire Group and
also on of the Lead Players in the Textile Composite sector and
enjoying more than 10% share in the sector's sales (listed Companies
only).

STML was incorporated as a public limited company in Pakistan in


1969 and its shares are listed on Karachi Stock Exchange.
Manufacturing units of the Company are located in Sind and Punjab
and consist of 120,632 spindles, 3,120 rotors, 292 looms and 215
stitching machines.

Conclusion:
The purpose of the swot analysis is to provide information on
textile sector’s weaknesses and strengths in relation to opportunities
and threats that Pakistani textile sector face. Textile sector is the
backbone of the Pakistan’s economy .After independence impressive
growth can be seen in textile sector. Cotton bales increased and
number of mills and looms increased. It provides employment to
about 30% of labor force and contributes 68% in total exports. The
contribution of textile industry in GDP is 8.5%. Cheap labor, raw
material base, increase in foreign exchange, and export are the
strengths of textile industry .As 38% labor is employed in textile. And
Pakistan is the 4th largest producer of cotton.

1- It is observed that the employees are happy with the work


culture of the organization. But some employees are facing problem
in communication with managers or immediate supervisors.

2- It is observed that some of employees are facing problems in


balancing personal and professional life to some extent. This was
affecting their productivity.

3- There are some employees who are dissatisfied with the
relationship with their managers. So the productivity of the
employees getting affected.

4- Employees are not clear about the vision of the organization


and their role to achieve it.

Recommendation:
• Improve Communication: Sending out a memo or email to
inform employees of important company information is inefficient
and impersonal. Your employees are among the most important
resources in your organization, so you should work to improve
communication with the staff. Have regular company meetings to
introduce important information to employees, and allow employees
to ask questions as well.

• Career Development: To decrease employee turnover , the


company needs to take an active role in staff career development.
Encourage your managers to work closely with employees on
improving staff skills and answering any questions. Use annual
performance appraisals to set up a development plan for the
Organization.
