ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES
Module: Teaching Science in English to Very Young Learners

This module is assessed by an assignment to be completed individually for the student’s


final grade. The requirements for the assignment are as follows:
1. Content:
Each student has to:
 choose a science topic (maximum 2 students choose the same topic)
 write a lesson plan to teach a 30-minute lesson
The lesson plan includes all supplementary documents such as handouts, flashcards, the
video’s links, etc.
Submission checklist:
(1) A 30-minute lesson plan (see Appendix 1)
(2) All the materials used during the lesson (if any)
(3) The lesson extracted from an English book to teach science to very young
learners
2. Deadline: All the submissions (both the soft and hard copies where applicable) need to
be sent to the class monitor, and then to the head office of the Faculty of English by the
deadline written on ‘Lịch thi’
A soft copy: By 5 P.M on 30/12/2019 to the link

A hard copy: By 10 A.M on 31/12 to the Administration Office (Mrs. Thanh Huyen).
3. Format:
a. Page 1: Cover page (See Appendix 1)
b. Page 2: The lesson extracted from an English book (if any)
c. From page 3: Your lesson plan (See Appendix 2)
d. Length: the lesson plan should be no more than 1000 words; the length for
supplementary materials is unlimited.
e. The assignment is printed on A4 paper with recommended fonts (size):
Times new Roman (13); Space: 1.5; Text: Justified.
