Introducing v11.01.01 for the imageRUNNER 1025/ 1025N/ 1025iF Copiers

Note:
In preparations for the New Flash ROM, Canon USA is advising all dealers to upgrade to
System v7.01 or higher and BootROM v7.01 or higher to avoid any future issues due to a
manufacturer change.

GENERAL:
This Technical Publication details the release of system software v11.01.01 for the imageRUNNER 1025/
1025N/ 1025iF copiers which includes modifications of field claims.

An Executable file has been created which contains the following:

This system software will not be exported from the United States except in strict accordance with
the Export Administration Regulations of the U.S. Department of Commerce and other U.S. laws
and regulations controlling exports from the United States.

DETAILS:
The following changes occur when upgrading the System/ OPT16/ OPT32 of the imageRUNNER 1025/
1025N/ 1025iF copiers from v10.01.01 to v11.01.01:

1 Modification of a failure where the device receives FAX documents in memory, fails
to print out it, and ultimately loses the document.

2 Modification of a failure where the device occasionally freezes at the time of a
FlashROM writing error.

3 Modification of an error where the same file is exported when the Address Book and
others are exported from Remote UI
[Modification of a field claim]
4 Modification of a 104 transmission error code that is displayed at the time of a FAX
transmission.

<Supplementary information>
If "OK" appears on the touch panel display of the main unit, data transfer has been completed by overwriting
the ROM.
Upgrade procedures
<Without options>
1. Overwrite BOOT.
2. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn OFF and ON the power manually.
(Download mode starts.)
3. Overwrite SYSTEM.

<With OPT16MB>
1. Overwrite BOOT.
2. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn OFF and ON the power manually.
(Download mode starts.)
3. Overwrite OPT16.
4. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn OFF and ON the power manually.
(Download mode starts.)
5. Overwrite SYSTEM.

<With OPT32MB>
1. Overwrite BOOT.
2. Check that "OK" appears on the touch panel display. Then, turn off and on the power manually.

4. Overwrite OPT32.
