In a study conducted by (Rienties, B.; Toetenel, L., 2016) entitled “The impact of learning design
modules”, researches have pointed out the high interest of conducting study regarding the blended
learning on students and how it affects the respondents’ student behavior, satisfaction, and
performance because the data revealed that it significantly affects the variables.
The most significant finding is that learning plan exercises firmly affected scholarly maintenance.
A significant venture forward from our underlying review with 40 modules (Rienties et al.,, 2015) is that
we had the option to move past straightforward relationship examinations to various relapse
investigations, by which the study had the option to control for normal institutional examination factors
and disciplinary contrasts. The essential indicator of scholarly maintenance was the relative measure of
correspondence exercises. This might be an significant finding as specifically in internet realizing there
tends to be an attention on planning for cognizance rather than social learning exercises (Arbaugh, 2014;
Koedinger et al., 2013; Rienties et al., 2012), while as of late a few scientists have urged instructors and
analysts to zero in on the social components of learning (Arbaugh, 2014; Ferguson and Buckingham
Shum, 2012).
The second significant finding was that student fulfillment was firmly affected by learning plan.
Modules with assimilative exercises and less understudy focused methodologies like observing data
exercises got essentially higher assessment scores. Nonetheless, an essential expression of alert is set up
here. Despite the fact that we concur with others (Arbaugh, 2014; Onwuegbuzie et al., 2007; Zerihun et
al., 2012) that student fulfillment and bliss of understudies is significant, it is amazing that student
fulfillment and scholastic maintenance were not even somewhat identified with one another
Moreover, a recent important study measuring which factors predicted learner satisfaction and
academic performance amongst 48 MBA online and blended learning modules in the US, Arbaugh
(2014) found that learners' behavior, as measured by social presence, predicted learner satisfaction and
academic performance. Quite remarkably, the technological environment used in these 48 modules did
not significantly predict learners' learning experience and performance. Therefore, Arbaugh (2014, p.
352) argued that “a resource-strapped business school may get the most ‘bang for its buck’ by allocating
resources towards developing instructors when contemplating how best to support its online and
blended offerings”.
Furthermore, for an effective learning design to happen, instructors and administrators, as well
as students, should be involved in planning the learning design that will cater the needs of students to
learn the needed knowledge, may it be modular or online learning. As according to (Arbaugh, 2005),
there is an impending need for the university or school administrator to conduct similar study among
their stakeholder to implement and execute the appropriate learning design for students in terms of
