RODRIGUES HERITAGE STAY

Situated close to the pristine and famous Candolim beach in North Goa, Rodrigues
Heritage Homestay is a lavish Portuguese era ancestral home with spacious and
elegantly designed Suites filled with antique furniture. It has a calm and serene
private front and backyard green spaces filled with coconut, mango and other fruit
bearing trees on a sprawling 4,000 square meters property.
You can choose from a variety of 3 beautifully furnished, large and spacious Suites
or the entire ancestral home exclusively for your family and friends. This includes a
family bedroom with an extra bed and a mini kitchen equipped with induction,
refrigerator, microwave oven and tea/coffee maker with the requisite crockery. All
the rooms have access to the front fruit orchard garden and backyard coconut
grove.
This ancestral property has 2 wells besides an underground water spring.The
property is in the heart of Candolim beach village surrounded by all the essential
amenities.
The Ancestral home was built by our ancestors keeping in mind the need for natural
cooling therefore it has a very high roof with wooden ceiling, clay tiles and thick
clay mud walls which keeps the rooms cool and pleasant, even though we have now
provided every room with air conditioning and fans.
The bed rooms are provided with antique furniture from the Portuguese era.
All the bedrooms have a flat screen LED TV with Tata Sky connection and wifi
access for internet browsing.
Every bedroom has an en suite bathroom with hot and cold rain showers. provided
with refrigerator, tea/coffee kettle
This sprawling one acre property has ample parking area for our in-house guests.

Amenities:
Common dining cum living room and a huge ballroom where the guests can
indulge in ballroom dancing. If you wish to learn ballroom dancing, a ballroom
dance teacher is available on call for a fee, which is subject to availability and
advance booking.

Rodrigues Heritage Homestay though nestled in a quiet fruit orchard land, it is
situated in close proximity to the most exciting and happening places on Goa’s
most popular Sinquerim - Candolim - Calangute beach belt where local and
international cuisine is available almost round the clock. This beach belt is dotted

Fort Aguada. In close proximity to the Heritage Home Stay, the most formidable
and impregnable of the Portuguese forts in India is located, Fort Aguada is situated
on a hilltop overlooking the confluence of the Mandovi River and the Arabian Sea.
Adjoining it is the 5 star Taj Aguada Hotel.

Souza Lobo: Situated on Calangute beach, this historic restaurant serves fish
specialities like Butter Garlic Crab and superb traditional Goan/Portuguese food.
Brittos Bar and Restaurant situated at Baga Beach serves delightful home cooked
fish specialities.
Bomras: Situated on the Candolim road is famous for its Burmese cuisine and is a
gastronomical delight. Famous night clubs like Titos and Mambos are 5 kms away
where you can dance the night away.

Panjim: The capital of Goa is 12 km across the Mandovi river. Colourful villas,
cobbled streets and colonial style buildings help you experience the charm of the
old world Portuguese ambiance at Fontainhas, a rich heritage homes conservation

Old Goa: Old Goa is definitely worth a visit for its famous 18th century churches
and cathedrals, the most famous of these is the Basilica of Bom Jesus where the
mortal remains of St Francis Xavier are preserved.

Beaches of Goa

Palolem beach - Goa is no Doubt the most free-spirited area of India and Palolem
beach is its most beautiful area. This crescent shaped beach has clean white sand
with a stunning view wherein one can view the entire beach from either ends.

Baga Beach- This beach is boarded by Calangute beach to its south and Anjuna
beach to its North. This is one of the must include beaches in Goa as part of the
Honeymoon tour. It is famous for its beach shacks and delicious seafood. The night
life in baga is even more exciting than the day.
Calangute Beach- Calangute beach is the largest beach in North Goa and one of the
best Tourist places. It is also called the queen of beaches and a 4 mile long beach
that lies between Baga and Candolim beach.

Anjuna Beach- Anjuna Beach is famous for its stunning natural beauty with
coconut trees and soft powered white sands. It is located North of Baga and
Calangute and close to the south of Vagator and chapora. Anjuna beach was once a
favorite haunt of the hippies who used to organise the famous beach parties with
live music in the late 1970’s.
