II. EVENT INTRODUCTION
A. Five W’s
 Regional Costume Fair is all about sharing or showcasing the various culture, tradition or beliefs of different regions
or provinces in the Philippines and to raise awareness about the important contribution they make to cultural
diversity. Student must need to pick one region to present the beauty and uniqueness of their area. Through look
or create the best glamorous costumes. Aside from the presentation of their colorful costumes, we also get to know
the culture of their chosen area by representing contestant’s talent portion. Regional Costume Fair is community
friendly competition which brings college students together to not only compete, but also to serve and more often
preserve our heritage.
The participants of this event are from College Department taking Tourism Management Course in STI College
Baliuag and held on June 17, 2021 through online setting/MS Teams because of the restriction of pandemic. This
Fair is encouraging student to use their artistic talent to showcase our culture in different region. Also, we believe
that college student is the place where people are generating new ideas in how they present.
This event can be carried out with the planning of the organizers and with the help of their teachers. We promote
this to entering social spaces with specifics and maybe colorful images are extremely effective tactics to start getting
know to this event.

III. PROJECT BACKGROUND
A. People behind the project (Stakeholders )
 An event’s team organized the expo in collaboration with the venue through sponsorship. The team is composed of
a School Dean, Teachers, Finance, and other school staffs.
B. Brief History and event objectives
 Folk costumes in the Philippines have played and still play an important symbolic role in the preservation of national
values and cultural heritage and in the creation of a feeling of unity of the people. We are being colonized by the
Americans, Japanese, and Spaniards. That is why we have a diverse in terms of cultures and traditions. They give us
an enormous influence not only in our cuisines but also in a lot of things specially in textiles. But even so we still
have many proud Filipino works that we can call our own. That is the reason why we do this expo. Our objective is
to showcase how rich Filipino cultures and traditions are. From Luzon down to Mindanao, from CAR to ARMM.
Teachers and students can join and participate in this event. They can immerse themselves for them to be able to
experience and patronize what is really our own. To fulfill this event, we need the cooperation of the organizers
(BSTM students, 2A) and to their subject teacher in MICE to plan and determine the overall performance of the
event.
 SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS
A. SWOT Analysis
 Strength
Enthusiasm and commitment of the volunteers.
Wide range of materials available for planning the costume fair including themes, décor etc.

 Weaknesses
Considering that we have finalized everything even the little ones. The only weakness of this event would only be the
poor internet connection since we will be having this via online.

 Opportunity
If this event will be successful, we can expect that there would be an unexpected positive publicity within the
contestants and most especially for the school. We are all aware how powerful social media is, and if that’s the case
there is a high chance that more people will get to know you STI from its good management even when we are in the
face of a pandemic.

 Threats
Similar events
Poor publicity
Poor crowd behavior
Careless Mistakes – Some things simply are avoidable.
Bad weather – Internet interruption
