A painting, a means to capture. To sink. To Clench. To grab. To hold… on.

The painting is a means to portray the none-representable, between the lines of what cannot be spoken. To
infer, to presuppose.

To mallee, to deduce.

The junction of the mind -> to the body.

Presence with respect -> to the lack thereof.

To disappear, to integrate. To allude.

To expose…

During this coarse, I found myself sitting in the first class and saying that ”My installations are still theoretical”.

It was in that moment, I felt myself quite silly. So I decided to just go for it. So I Made a plan to execute at the
research gallery.

The nature of the work is to explore the relation of presence and non presence, with respect to space and the body. The
work is a materialistic research in space. The relationship between the full and the empty. To occupy, with
respect to vacancy. To question, the construct of a space, with respect to being. The ductile delineations lay
in latency between the empty to the entire. The objective of the work is to question our three-dimensional
reality in contrast to the body and its echo between space and time.
Title: The Seam Between Presence and Absence

After getting the opportunity to commence the work, we had a great conversation regarding the concept sketches. Which is
made a reality for my assessment. I think this was generally a good step for me.

For the final part of this course I decided to make a work incorporating text and objects that are wrapped and suspended
in a frame. I use two words ‘Clasp’ and ‘Sink’, Which seemed like enough for me in this case with a short poem, which is
actually a common children's rhyme. I decided to use wood filament, because it matches the material of the frames and
refers to the perishability of the materials present in the work. I further plan to incorporate it in the research gallery
but am still unsure of how exactly.

For me this course helped allot, in the sense of taking steps forward. Maybe I am afraid to take certain steps
because of loosing others.

Fear stand to represent the opposing to love. Maybe I fear loosing my love for painting…

Maybe accepting space is no different to painting on a flat surface.

My material for this coarse was to explore the possibility of working in space, mainly exploding the potential
of a 3d pen.

My objective was to incorporate “context” to the work. To find a way to integrate text within the material.
