Global interconnectedness

Q) Think, about how you rely upon different countries for performing various activities in
your everyday life.

We use many products in a day but not all of them belong to our country. All the products
we use do not come from the same country either. From a small toothbrush, to a fridge, we
depend on other countries for resources. Here is a list of the origin of the things that I use in
my day-to-day life.

1) Perfume – France
2) Toothbrush (OralB) – United States
3) Toothpaste (Colgate) – United States
4) Soap (Dove) – United Kingdom
5) Shampoo (Sunsilk) – United Kingdom
6) Hair dryer (Philips) – Netherlands
7) School bag (Wildcraft) – India
8) Laptop (Acer) – Taiwan
9) Phone (Motorola) – United States
10) Phone (Redmi) – China
11) Shoes (Puma) – Germany
12) Tablet (Samsung) – Korea
13) Fridge (Whirlpool) – United States

We may never think about it, but I’m sure most of us depend on other countries for almost
everything that we use in our everyday lives. If all of us use the resources that come from
just one place, it wouldn’t be satisfactory and sufficient for most of the people. This proves
that all countries are globally interconnected and they depend upon each other for
resources.
