1. INTRODUCTION
2. OBJECTIVE
The objective of this document is to determine the Borepile work procedure for
Japanan Metering Station. This demand will be used as materials, transportation, storage,
type of equipment used, material control, installation of pile pile splicing and pile driving.
3. DEFINITIONS
The material , fabrication, and testing shall be in accordance with the latest issue of
the following codes and standard and the following EMPLOYER / EMPLOYER’S
PERSONNEL specification, unless otherwise specified herein after.

5. MATERIALS
Ready mixed concrete for bored pile shall use type-I + fly ash and have a
minimum average of specified compressive strength, fc’ = 50 Mpa . The
minimum slump of concrete shall be 12 cm and the maximum shall not exceed
16 cm, based on requirement of concreting devices and conform to specification
for concrete work doc. No. MJPN-PGAS-3514-CV-SP-007. Unless otherwise
specified or approved as, the maximum nominal size of aggregate shall not
exceed 20 mm. SUBCONTRACTOR shall propose and provide mix proportion
test for limits for EMPLOYER / EMPLOYER’S PERSONNEL approval prior
executing the work. An additive of plasticizer and retarder type may be applied,
composition of additive and retarder subject to approval. The concrete trial mix
design shall be perform to achieve the concrete workability.
Reinforcing steel bars shall conform to SNI 07-2052, 2002; BjTD 40 or equal to
ASTM A 615 Grade 60 for diameter greater than 10 mm. Plain bar shall conform
to SNI 07-2052, 2002; BjTP 24 or equal to ASTM A 615 Grade 40 for diameter
10 mm and below. Certified mill test report shall be submitted as requested by
EMPLOYER.
6. BOREPILE SIZING
Bore pile diameter, length and quantity shall be in accordance with engineering
calculation.
7. LIST OF EQUIPMENT
7.1 Equipment shall be based on approved drilling method. PGAS SOLUTION shall
propose drilling method for EMPLOYER / EMPLOYER’S PERSONNEL approval.
7.2 Drilling equipment and accessories, and other equipment shall be subject to
inspection and approval by PGAS SOLUTION and EMPLOYER/ EMPLOYER’S
PERSONNEL prior to mobilization

7.3 List of minimum equipment which can be used for Bore Pile work are as follows :
1. Concrete pump
2. Concrete tremi/hose
3. Drill equipments (drill cross bit, pipe rod)
4. Spiral/auger cleaner (if needed)
5. Concrete bucket
6. Submersible pump
8. INSTALLATION OF PILE
f. For the hard soil level, the auger or bucket shall be equipped with
tungsten carbide teeth. In case the soil is too hard to drilled, the soil
should be broken by chisel before employing the teeth auger or teeth
bucket.
8.2.2 Concreting
9. INSPECTION
9.1 Countermeasures shall be immediately taken for piles damaged below the cut-
off
elevation during pile cutting, which may include repair of pile or other method
approved by EMPLOYER/ EMPLOYER’S PERSONNEL.
9.2 Pile groups (if any) shall be bored from the interior outward to provide the
accessibility of drilling-machine.
9.3 The Subcontractor shall plan the bore pile work, so that harmful disturbance of
the adjacent existing facilities, structures, etc. does not occur by the drilling and
concreting operations. The Subcontractor shall submit the bored pile work
planning to PGAS SOLUTION to get the EMPLOYER / EMPLOYER’S
PERSONNEL approval prior to commence the work.
9.4 In case it is apply slurry mud, SUBCONTRACTOR shall inspect and report the
slurry mud characteristic and its test result continuously for each bore hole.
10. TOLERANCE
Contractor shall keep a complete record for each pile and shall provide the
following information.
All bored piles damaged under cut off elevation shall be repaired or receive other
counter measures with a method approved by EMPLOYER/ EMPLOYER’S
PERSONNEL.
Bored piles shall meet tolerance criteria, inc. horizontal, slope and elevation
tolerance and information completeness according to section 10.1a and 10.1b
