Rose’s sari-sari store sells 2,000 pesos worth of products during its
first week. She has set the goal of increasing his weekly sales by 500
pesos each week for the next 10 weeks. If we assume that the goal is met,
find the total sales during the first 11 weeks this store is in operation.

Solution:

Given:

First Week: a1 = 2,000 d (common difference) = 500

Ten Weeks: a11 = ? n = 11

Find a11 = ?
an = a1 + (n – 1) (d)

a11 = 2000 + (11-1) (500)

a11 = 2000 + (10) (500)

a11 = 2000 + 5000

a11 = 7000

Total Sales : s11

Sn = n (a1 + an)

Sn = 11 ( 2000 + 7000)

Sn = 11 (9000)

Sn = 11 (4500)

S11 = 49500

Answer:

The total sales in Rose’s sari sari store is 49500 pesos in 11 weeks.
