TOPIC: Breaking into new international markets might pave the way for the development of Vietnamese
enterprises. With reference to other countries, in your opinion, what advertising strategies should be
applied in order to promote Vietnamese products abroad? Give examples and/or facts to support your
opinion.

It is a belief that breaking into new overseas markets may open the road
for Vietnamese businesses to grow. As a result, effective promotional methods
are required to boost the export of Vietnamese goods. This article will discuss
several advertising tactics as well as some instances of each.

Vietnam is one of the countries with a strong agricultural legacy, producing


a wide range of regional delicacies that are popular in both local and
international markets. The "brand" of Vietnamese delicacies, on the other
hand, is still absent on the worldwide market. The majority of items are solely
exported as raw materials. When delivering finished goods to customers, they
are permitted to use only packaging and labeling from foreign importers. So
Vietnam should invest in the fields of design, printing, labeling, product
packaging, and advertising instruments (brochures, books, newspapers,
advertising programs...). All of the brochures have been revised and released
in the English language. It might aid in the popularization of our goods and the
acquisition of new consumers. For example, Thailand, which excels at
marketing, uses this advertising method to boost the efficacy of local specialty
promotion overseas with their geographical indication. Or Indonesia, as the
world's fourth-largest coffee exporter, focuses on establishing a brand and

implementing campaigns to promote coffee products with geographical


indications in foreign markets, such as markets, exhibitions, domestic and
international trade promotion media events; publishing media publications,
and promoting products (product images are always associated with the
image of the geographical area).

Besides it, the government should build and operate the national system of
quality control of specialties in a strict and scientific manner, meeting
international standards; ensure that products when being circulated on the
international market have stable quality and can be traced easily. This
contributes to the product's market status and repute. Moreover, they need to
boost international cooperation efforts by enlisting the help of countries and
international organizations; Become a member of international organizations
and networks to develop and conduct national campaigns to promote local
specialties (related with geographical indications). take part in international
events that promote regional specialties. In fact, the government has
implemented a number of strategies to promote commerce and Vietnamese
specialties overseas, with promising early results. Some national products
have made inroads into the international marketplace (rice, coffee, catfish,
mango, dragon fruit, lychee...).

To summarize, there are a variety of ways to promote Vietnamese products,


including focusing on image development, executing product marketing
campaigns, and so on, and some of our national products have made a name
for themselves in the worldwide market. However, in order to improve
communication effectiveness and promote local specialties overseas, Vietnam
must expand its research in order to participate more thoroughly and broadly
in international networks (such as OgiGIn)
