1. INTRODUCTION

Environment protection has become a Global issue. Each and Every

man is trying to contribute his best to save the Environment. To Avoid
Air Pollution certain distance criteria for the location of hot mix plant has
been specified by the Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board. To assess the
distance between existing hot mix plant and Previling Environmental
status around the crushers of the GPS study this assigned using the GPS
instrument.

2. NEED FOR STUDY

To study the Radial distance between Existing hot mix plant and
Previling environmental status around the hot mix unit.

3. SCOPE OF STUDY

The scope the survey is restricted to the hot mix plant and the
environmental features located surrounding the hot mix plant in
Ammachatram Village, Kulathur Taluk & Pudukkottai District.

4. METHODOLODY

The Global Positioning System is adopted for the survey and the
Instrument used for Survey is GPS Map 60. The locations of each feature
is determined using the instrument and positioned in the Topo map. The
GPS is recorded in all the points of the emission sources and nearest point
of emission of the hot mix plant is considered for the radial distance
measurement and reported.

5. RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS

The Tables enclosed with this report describes the details of the various
features identified during the survey.

OBSERVATION

The shortest distance between the units of M/S TRANSSTROY INDIA LTD (HOT
MIX PLANT) as measured using the Global Positioning System for the following
observation.

1. Nearest Habitation @ Ammachatram-850 meters

2. Nearest Hot Mix Plant @ Southwest Area- 950 meters
3. Nearest National Highway@ Pudukkotai to Trichy - 1460 meters
