The 4-Koma boxes are indicated by the solid lines in the Live Area. 4-Koma can be two vertical strips or a single double-wide strip.
Each 4-Koma has its own title. Two 4-Komas can be tied together by using a single title-banner across the page.
Traditionally, 4-Koma (Yonkoma) follow a structure called Kishōtenketsu a compound word formed from these Japanese Kanji characters:
Ki: The first panel forms the basis of the story; it sets the scene.
Shō: The second panel develops the story set up in the first panel.
Ten: The third panel is the climax, in which an unforeseen development occurs.
Ketsu: The fourth panel is the conclusion, in which the effects of the third panel are shown.
