All climate l Fuse VERIFY BJB fuse 28 (30A) is OK. If OK, CARRY OUT the
controlled seats are l Wiring, terminals network test using a diagnostic scan tool and VERIFY
inoperative or connectors network communication of the FCIM and DCSM . REFER to
l I-CAN Section 418-00, Communications Network , Symptom

communication Chart: Communication Network to diagnose a module


fault communication or network concern. If OK, CARRY OUT the
l HS-CAN DCSM self-test and RETRIEVE any DTCs . If any DTC is
communication present, Refer to Seating . VERIFY the touchscreen
fault operation. If the touchscreen does not operate correctly,
l MS-CAN refer to Section 415-00B (if equipped with Premium Plus) or
communication REFER to Section 415-00C, GO to Pinpoint Test L (if
fault equipped with Sony Sound). If OK, INSTALL a new DCSM .
l DCSM Refer to Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) .
l FCIM
l APIM
l FDIM
A single climate l Wiring, terminals NOTE: If a fault occurs setting a DTC specific to only one
controlled seat is or connectors climate controlled seat, the DCSM disables only the
inoperative l APIM affected seat outputs and allow the other seat to remain
l FDIM operational. CHECK for DTCs specific to the affected
l DCSM climate controlled seat and if a DTC is present, Refer to
Seating .

REFER to Section 501-10A, GO to Pinpoint Test N .


A single climate l Excessive sun CARRY OUT the DCSM self-test and retrieve any DTCs . If
controlled seat load or extreme any DTC is present, Refer to Seating . If no DTC is present,
does not operate cabin CHECK the affected seat cushion or backrest for correct
correctly - poor or temperatures installation of the climate controlled seat components
intermittent l Incorrectly ( TED , manifold air duct and foam pad) and REPAIR as
cooling/heating installed TED or needed. If OK, CHECK for air flow restrictions ( TED inlets
manifold and outlets, TED -to-manifold connections, filters and ducts)
l Air flow blockage and REPAIR as needed. CHECK the TED cooling
l TED performance on the affected seat and VERIFY the system
l DCSM is operating correctly. Refer to Seating .
A single climate l Incorrectly CARRY OUT the DCSM self-test and retrieve any DTCs . If
controlled seat installed TED or any DTC is present, Refer to Seating . If no DTC is present,
does not operate manifold CHECK the affected seat cushion or backrest for correct
correctly - exhibits l Air flow blockage installation of the climate controlled seat components
poor air flow or l Disconnected air ( TED , manifold air duct and foam pad) and REPAIR as
performance duct needed. If OK, CHECK for air flow restrictions ( TED inlets
and outlets, TED -to-manifold connections, filters and ducts)
and REPAIR as needed. RETEST the system for normal
operation.
