This is an offshore project ongoing at Info Technology Inc. Focused on the Post-Implementation,
Support of SAP R/3 in a manufacturing company (Client name). It is a survey of the total replacement
of the company’s original ERP package by SAP R/3, 4.6C.

 One of the leading companies in manufacturing, engineering, validation and design of
electronic goods. It has nearly 12,000 associates and 17 manufacturing facilities located in United
States, Brazil, Mexico and United Kingdom. It supplies various electronic and IT products for the
consumer and the professional market. It is implementing SAP in various department related to MM,
SD, FI/CO, PP and QM.

Responsibility:

As an ERP Consultant to develop and programming for classical and interactive reports, ALV Reports
writing for MM, SD modules, Batch Data Communications from legacy to SAP R/3 system.
 The project responsibilities involved Application development and support.
 Development of various objects as per Technical specs and Project standard.
 Reviewing ABAP programs to ensure efficiency and fine-tuning where necessary.
 The project responsibilities involved the development of Reports, Interface programs, LSMW
objects.
 The project responsibilities also involved the development of ALV Reports, Batch input programs.

Key Objects Handled in ABAP :

REPORTS:

• Developed a report on material change. Showing the details of a material being changed by user
name , Tcode , date of change ,Old value , New value along with some other fields using the table
CDHDR , CDPOS , CDRED MARA , MARD and various material related table .

Advanced List View (ALV):

• An ALV using table like vbak, vbfa, veda showing the contract details of a particular sales order
.When the contract is signed , the contract period and contract starting period and ending date in
alv grid display with company’s logo .

• An ALV showing the customer details. Using the tables KNA1, KNBK and some other tables
regarding customer and when double click on CUSTOMER NO i.e. kunnr a POP-UP will come on the
right hand side bottom with bank details of the particular CUSTOMER .

• Developed an ALV daily cash receipt with tables BKPF ,BSEG and other account related table .From
the report the user will come to know which customer is in debit/credit status , the accounting
document header details , accounting document segment details of customer under a particular
accounting document type ,accounting document date , accounting document number .

• Developed an ALV showing the sales organization, sales order no, customer no and some other
corresponding details regarding that particular sales order no. and customer no. And when clicked
on customer no customer details is show in a pop-up and in case of sales order a secondary window
will be showing sales order details regarding sales order schedule line data from table .

Batch Data Communication (BDC):

• Creating purchase requisition with transaction ME51 by uploading data from the application server
.At first the data will be checked whether the data are in the perfect order according to the
customer requirement or not and then only it will allow you to create purchase requisition with error
free set of data and the data’s with error will be downloaded to excel file in the presentation server.

 • Creating vendor through the transaction XD01 using the CALL TRANSACTION METHOD by uploading
data from presentation server .It will first check whether it is an excel file or text file and
accordingly precaution is being taken to upload the data and creating the vendor and the error
messages will be download to a excel file in the presentation server .

Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI):

• Creating PURCHASE ORDER on transaction ME21n using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 uploading data from
application server or presentation server . The records with error will be downloaded to excel file
and with rest of the data PURCHASE ORDER will be created.

User exit (Function Exit):

• Whenever a user will create a purchase requisition the first four number will represent the Plant
number and last six digit will be a unique no .
