In the active voice , the object receives the action of the verb:
Ne aktive , percaktori merr aksionin e foljes.
In dhë aktiv vojs dhë obgjekt resivs dhË akshËen of dhË vËrb.

For example,Louise finished the homework.

Per shembull, luiza mbaroi detyrat.
For ikzampËll , LLuis finishd dhË homuËrk.

Passive voice is something we don’t use very often unlike the active voice.
zeri pasiv eshte diqka qe ne nuk e perdorim shpesh sikur aktivja.

In the passive voice, the subject receives the action of the verb.
Ne zerin pasiv kryefjala merr aksionin qe kryen folja.

It is mostly used to emphasise the action rather than giving responsibility on who
did it.

Passive voice is formed with the verb be+past participle of the main verb.
Zeri pasiv formohet me folje jam+ pjesoren e te shkuares.

The boy was jumped on by the dog.

Djali u hodh nga qeni.
dhË boj uËz gjampt on baj dhË dog.

A gift will be given to Sarah by Mary for her birthday.

How to change from active voice to passive voice?

1. Move the active sentences direct object to the subject spot:

Zhvendos percaktorin direkt te fjalise aktive ne vend te kryefjales.

2. Move the active sentences subject with the phrase that begins with by:

3. Add the auxiliary verb and change the main verbs form:
