VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS CAROLING CONTEST 2021

CONTEST GUIDELINES

QUALIFICATIONS
 This contest is open to all ages who are residents of LIPA CITY, BATANGAS and its nearby areas.
 The branch must have at least 5 participating groups for this contest to proceed.
 Each group must be composed of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 members.
 The participating group can be composed of amateurs and professional members. Participants from sales force
(GSA/GL), business partners and sister companies are allowed to join. EGMPC, ECMC, ECC, and BVMC employees and
their relatives are not eligible to join this contest.

VIDEO ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 The group must submit a video entry singing Christmas carols with the use of at least one musical instrument
(maracas, beat box, guitar, keyboard, etc.) Minus one and karaoke are not allowed.
 The group may perform any Christmas carol or medley in Tagalog or English language for a maximum of 3 minutes.
Any excess in the duration will result in point deduction from the total score (1 point per 30 seconds excess).
 To ensure everyone’s safety, each member shall wear face shield and observe physical distancing during video
recording.
 Once the entry is submitted, no alteration or resubmission shall be allowed on the contest piece. All entries
submitted shall be screened by the branch officer to ensure that all videos accepted in this contest are of good
quality and content.
 For those entries that are below standard, MO shall advise the representative and will require them to resubmit their
entries one day after the notification. After one resubmission, the branch has the right to disqualify that group
provided that they was notified well that their entry do not pass the second screening.

REGISTRATION
 Registration is open from September 20 to October 15, 2021. Team leader must fill-out an application form and
send it to the branch officer through email with attached valid ID for documentation.
 For minor contestants, a consent form signed by the legal guardian shall be submitted to the branch office.
 Actual entries shall be sent to the branch email together with their group photo by November 15, 2021.

Timing and Interpretation 30%
Originality & Creativity 25%
Most Reacted Entry (Audience Impact) 5%
TOTAL 100%
It will always be judges’ decision to determine the winner. All judges’ decisions are considered final.

HEART REACTIONS (AUDIENCE IMPACT)

 Official entries will be posted on the branch Facebook Page on November 20, 2021 at 9:00 AM, while cut-off for
counting of number of reactions will be at 1:00 PM on November 26, 2021.
 For this category, only love reactions will be counted. Anyone caught having unfair play will result in
disqualification as deemed by the branch officer, and if proven that there was a foul play. Any decision made by
the contest committee with regards to heart reactions shall be considered final.
 Pointing system for heart reactions will be as follows:

LOCAL AND NATIONAL PRIZE
 There will be one (1) winner for the BRANCH LEVEL and will receive cash prize.
RANK CASH PRIZE
One branch winner per branch P 10,000

 Branch winners will represent their branch in the NATIONAL LEVEL competition. For national level, there will be
three (3) winners who will have a chance to win the following cash prize:

1st Prize for National Level P 10,000
2nd Prize for National Level P 7,000
3rd Prize for National Level P 5,000

 Team representative of the winning groups will be advised by the branch officer on how to claim their respective
prizes, in which they will also require to present one (1) valid ID.

CONSENT & PRIVACY

 By submitting the entry, the participant warrant that they have such consent and that the company use of the video
and anything in it will not violate any rights of any third party, including but not limited to right of privacy, publicity,
copyright or contractual rights.
 All entries shall become the sole property of Eternal Gardens for whatever valid and legal purpose it may serve.
