I was graduated from the University of Karachi and awarded the degree of Bachelor of
Chemical Engineering in Pakistan on the year 2018.

Environment, as a field, had always fascinated me right from my undergraduate college days. I
believe my penchant for this field stems from the fact that environmental issues are increasing
day by day in all over the world. Man‟s search for security, comfort and efficiency did not affect
our ecology until very recently. Uncontrolled population growth and the concomitant additional
requirements have led to deforestation and the destruction of the natural habitat for
thousands of species. Oil spills, industrial waste and the indiscriminate use of agricultural
chemicals have polluted our environment to an alarming level.

My educational background has instilled in me the qualities required to meet the rigor of this
demanding profession.

Master of Engineering in Applied Environmental Measurement Techniques at Chalmers University of

Technology, Sweden has not only given me a sound and firm grounding in environment but also taught
me the invaluable skills to manage, lead and collaborate effectively with people

It also developed in me the ability to analyze problems from an environmental perspective keeping in
mind the constraints and limitations of the real world and to manage them

I believe that the field of environmental science is very interesting and challenging in
general and specifically in my country as there are not many specialists as it should be to
support the society needs.

As my aim is to work in an environmental consultancy, since I came back to Spain I kept

pursuing further academic education in environmental management and took additional
courses focusing on “Environmental Management Systems” and “Environmental Impact
Assessment”. However, I consider that studying the MSc xxxxx is the best way to gain
deeper theoretical and practical knowledge and achieve the career goals I have set for
myself, taking a step forward for my professional development in this particular field.

First of all, this program covers a number of topics that interest me the most, such as Interior
Design, Art History, Contemporary Design Concepts, Design Software, etc. As a future designer, I
must be an expert in these fields. I am certain that the numerous traineeships and workshops I
will take part in during my studies will help me to gain the necessary knowledge and skills.

. With my current experience as a Energy Research professional, I wish to

enlarge my technical knowledge of energy systems and turn my focus towards
their applications in practice.
