- Do a check of the unions of the sense line at the VALVE-
BLEED PRESS REG (4001HA) and at the VALVE-HP BLEED
(4000HA) of engine 1.
(1) If the unions are loose:
- TORQUE the unions to between 1.44 and 1.76 m.daN
(10.62 and 12.98 lbf.ft).

(2) If the unions are tight:

(a) Do the leak test of the sense line between the VALVE-
BLEED PRESS REG (4001HA) and the VALVE-HP
BLEED (4000HA) of engine 1 Ref. AMM
36-11-00-720-008:

1 If there are leaks:

- Repair or replace the sense line
between the VALVE-HP BLEED
(4000HA) and the VALVE-BLEED
PRESS REG (4001HA) of engine 1
Ref. AMM 36-11-49-000-047 and Ref.
AMM 36-11-49-400-047.
- TORQUE the coupling nut on the HP
sense line to between 1.44 and 1.76
m.daN (10.62 and 12.98 lbf.ft).

2 If there are no leaks:

- Continue the troubleshooting
procedure.

(b) Make sure that the position indication of the HP bleed

valve on the lower ECAM DU is correct:

1 Operate the shaft valve manually:

a Turn the manual shaft of the HP Bleed

valve to OPEN.

b Let the manual shaft go back to

CLOSED.

(c) If the position on the lower ECAM DU does not agree

with the position indicator, or if the valve does not go
back to the closed position:
- Replace the VALVE-HP BLEED (4000HA) of
engine 1 Ref. AMM 36-11-51-000-042 and Ref.
AMM 36-11-51-400-042.

a If the fault continues:

- Do a check and repair the
wiring from the HP bleed valve
to the BMC1, pins A/1 and A/5
to pins AA/14A and AA/15A

B. If the fault symptom is identified by maintenance message AIR ENG 1
HP VALVE FAULT and there were large bleed pressure changes during

- Continue the troubleshooting procedure.

bar (0.0000 psi) in less than 20
sec:
* Do an internal leak check of the
SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V
CTL, ENG 1 (10HA1) Ref. AMM

* Disconnect the sense line from the
SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V
CTL, ENG 1 (10HA1).
* Put a CAP - BLANKING on the sense
line.
* Pressurize the sense line to 2.07 bar
(30.0228 psi) then close the shutoff
valve of the pressure source.
* If the pressure decreases:
- Repair or replace the sense
