NAME: S PRAVEENKUMAR BALAJI BRANCH/SEC-CSE C

REG NO :190701148

POSITION
SHEET
Based upon my prior understanding , my position is: The main
reasons that lead me to this position are:

1) Video Games will make us smarter.

2) Playing action video games can improve cognitive skills like problem
solving, the ability to focus, and reaction times—gains that can carry
over into other areas of life.

3) Innovators are creating video games that educate and promote social
change for the better.

4) Despite their reputation, research shows that there is no causal link

between video games and aggression. In fact, video games have
been used to fight mood disorders like depression.

QUESTIONS FOR DEBATE PRESENTERS

Pros: Will video games soon provide innovative solutions to our most
pressing social, political and economic challenges?

Cons: Is the impact of gaming overrated and potentially destructive?

NOTES: As video games gain prominence, some game creators are

turning to global issues, such as poverty alleviation, international
diplomacy, and combating climate change, for inspiration. Playing
these socially minded games, they argue, allows users to build tangible
skills in combating crisis and solving critical problems. But others see
the multibillion-dollar gaming industry, dominated by portrayals of
crime and war, as a threat that desensitizes its users to violence and
encourages anti-social behavior.

Based upon my reflections on the debate, as well as my prior

knowledge, I now/still conclude that: result of playing video games
have been noted on a child’s eye hand coordination and an increase in
computer skills. Improved graphics allow for a virtual experience, and
this more real experience has a powerful influence on the lives of
young people
TASK - XI
DEBATE
INDIAN FOOD VS WESTERN FOOD
NAME:S PRAVEENKUMAR BALAJI BRANCH/SEC-CSE C

REG NO: 190701148

POSITION
SHEET

Based upon my prior understanding of this controversial issue, my

position is: Western food is the best.

The main reasons that lead me to this position are:

1) Because western food is less time consuming.it has less ingredients

to use

2) Western food has different flavours and has different cooking

methods.

3) It has better taste and it is getaway with usual routine.

4)It also has balanced nutrition .

5) You will find that very low amount of spices are added up in
the recipes and that is how western people love it.

6) As for the cooking ingredient, olive oil is mostly used

to make the dish and bread is the common wheat item that is
supplemented as an appetizer.
7) It is an eye delight to watch the colors and the ingredients is now
available everywhere.

8)Western cuisines have a tendency to pair ingredients that share

many of the same flavor compounds.

NO/CON

1) If
Indian food is that good why do most of Indian people prefer
western food?

2) A survey was conducted with 1,000 households across 14 cities

that consumed non-home cooked western food in the last one month
and prepared western food at home, with the help of western sauces
or spreads ,Why?

NOTES:
The advantage that western food has in terms of ease of
preparation makes it a convenient choice, the Oetker - Ipsos
survey has further revealed.

Based upon my reflections on the debate, as well as my prior

knowledge, I now/still conclude that:
While we always been tasting our own food it is a greater
relaxation for those who cook and those who eat too. We can make
western food in a healthier version too. Moreover less oil and fat is
only used in western cooking.
