The Associate of Science Degree is granted upon completion of the following course requirements with a
minimum grade average of 60% for all courses (60 credits) counting towards the degree. All courses must
transfer (see page 2 for accepted schools) and refer to the Okanagan College calendar for updated and
accurate course planning information.

your destination university.

Note: it is not mandatory to complete an Associate of Science Degree to transfer to another institution.

Transferability of Courses

Courses used to complete the Associate of Science must have transfer credit to one of the
following BC universities:

 Simon Fraser University,


 University of British Columbia (Okanagan or Vancouver),
 University of Northern British Columbia, or
 University of Victoria.
Consult the BC Transfer Guide to ensure transferability.

*Courses in Human Geography (GEOG 128, 129 etc), are designated as Arts courses, whereas courses in Physical
Geography or Earth and Environmental Sciences are usually designated as Science courses. Check with an advisor as
well as viewing how the course transfers to your future institution on the BC Transfer Guide.
