Writing Task – Describing a “Travel Nightmare”

Teacher: Ronaldo Omizolo

Student: Marco Antonio

I don´t know if I consider this travel as a “nightmare”, because instead of all the
difficulties that happened to me, It was a good trip, with people that I love very
Much and They took care of me all the time that I got sick. So, let´s get straight
to the point: My uncles invited me for a trip with them, and my cousin, Eduarda,
for the beach in Itapema. I got excited whit the invitation because I was a child
and they would pay everything to me. When we arrived there, it seems like a
dream to me, because the hotel was very good, with recreation area, swimming
pool and a beautiful view from the sea. They are very kind and funny people, so
I tought that I would enjoy a lot all the things there. But, one day, I ate
something, that I don't know until today what was, and this food made me sick, I
started to feel a stomachache, nausea and vomited a lot. So, they had to take
me to a hospital, but I didn't have health plan, and we had to wait a lot of time
for a doctor, because there was a lot of people waiting too. So, the worse for me
was the fact that I became a big problem to them, disturbing the trip, and, at the
same time, losing all that things that we could do there, in the hotel as on the
beach and in the city, although they keep treating me very well and with
affection. After consulting with the doctor, he said it was a virus that was
infecting many people in the city. Thereafter, I had to stay in bed many days to
get better, but my uncles and my cousin enjoyed a little more these days,
because they changed about who would stay with me. When I returned home, I
still didn't eat well for several days. In the end, that could have been one of the
best trips I've ever had, but became a not so good memory.
