About this Learn-to-Play Kit

This kit is to help players and retailers build up their Flesh and
Blood community by providing assets to help run a learn-to-
play (LTP) event.
event Included you will find lists for bulk common
intro blitz deck builds and quick guides for each hero that can be
printed, cut, and handed out to new players. Please don’t hesitate
to print these and use this as you see fit. I built this as a resource!

I will be regularly adding to this guide as I get feedback on ways

to make this better or as more sets get released. Please don’t
hesitate to reach out to Joey Senart at
decksanddraughts@gmail.com if you have thoughts or questions.

Shameless plug for my YouTube channel as well! I run Decks and

Draughts which literally translates to Cards and Beer. Come see
what I’m up to! If you would be so kind, print out the cards at
the end of this document and hand them out with intro decks!
Thank you in advance!

For marketing assets and official Flesh and Blood resources,

please head to the Retailer Quickstart page on fabtcg.com

I would normally pick a

beer from my home state
of Colorado, but I can’t
complain. Also, hi! I’m Joey!
Additional Assets to get started
In addition to this Learn-to-Play kit,
I have, or am creating, many other assets
such as a Retailer Introduction Kit for
LGS’s on the fence about Flesh and Blood,
additional hero guides (see the end of
this doc), teaching playmats, etc.

I would really appreciate if you considered

joining my Patreon and supporting these
efforts. For businesses and content
creators, I can even co-brand materials
for a bit of dual promotion. Check out
my Collaborator Tier for more details.
Thank you so much!

Legend Story Studios gives you plenty of resources to start your own event as well, including digital assets
to promote your event on social media. To help get you on the road to running official events such as
Armory (Organized Play) and Pre-Release events, post your event using the G.E.M Tournament Software.
This not only lets players earn experience in Flesh and Blood events, but it also hosts your event on FAB’s

Learn-to-Play Bulk Intro Blitz Decks
The following pages include pauper (commons
commons only)
only blitz decks that can be used as giveaways to new
players or as demo decks to keep in store. Ideally, all decks should be easy to build from a single box of
their respective set.

To increase efficiency, each card name is represented

once across each of the 4 young heroes from their
respective sets (this does not include Crucible of War).
This does not mean color is only represented once.
All Welcome to Rathe (WTR) commons will be
represented in WTR decks and same with ARC.

To increase accessibility, cards for WTR decks are

only from the WTR set and same with ARC. The
exception here is the inclusion of Nullrune equipment
in WTR decks to provide Arcane Barrier.

One final note: The color distribution is based

primarily off of what I had in my own stock
when creating these. There is absolutely room for
adjustments and improvements.

The Nullrune Solution

15 heroes, 4 pieces of Nullrune equipment for them all. To
combat the challenge of spreading this precious equipment
too thin, equipment across all decks has been reworked to
provide each hero 1 arcane barrier.
barrier

*As your stock of this equipment depletes, it is

recommended that you randomly swap Nullrune out for
some other Generic equipment that goes in that slot. What I
have done is, if I’m building 10 decks with Nullrune Gloves,
I’ll shuffle 5 Ironrot Gauntlets and 5 Nullrune Gloves
together and randomly distribute amongst those decks. This
does mean that some decks will not get Nullrune,
Nullrune but not
everyone may find themselves playing against arcane either.

This “shuffling in Generics” can apply to any other

equipment you’re short on, just make sure it fits the deck
(Goliath Gauntlet should not go in Katsu, for example).

The Monarch Bulk Blitz Decks
The Monarch set introduced “talents” to Flesh and
Blood, a secondary identifier for some heroes that
included their own card category. Here, we got “Light”
and “Shadow” talents and with them, Light and Shadow
cards playable by any hero that shared that trait.
trait

To allow for more appreciation of this dynamic element,

some named cards will be split up, by pitch value, across
multiple heroes.

“Assorted” Deck Options

To respect the likelihood that you have more copies of some cards than others, some cards in the
Monarch decklists ask for “x assorted” between multiple pitch values of the same card.

The Tales of Aria Bulk Blitz Decks
Similar to Monarch, ToA uses “talents” to add depth and
complexity to the three new heroes they introduced with the
set. Each hero has an “elemental” talent with access to two
of three elements: Earth, Lightning, and Ice.
Ice

For these bulk decks, each hero is 2/3 devoted to one

element, and 1/3 to the other. This not only makes it easier
to execute this mechanic, but opens the door to provide
excess bulk in the other element through upgrade packs to
encourage deckbuilding.
deckbuilding

For added variety, follow the formula below to swap which

element is the primary element for each hero.

The Tales of Aria Formula

Each ToA deck follows the same build formula.
formula Though not as efficient as it COULD be, it creates a
much more positive play experience and doesn’t stretch equipment and tokens too thin.

4x EACH Elemental Class action from the main fused element 12 cards
2x EACH Elemental Class action from the secondary fused element 6 cards
2x EACH Non-Amulet Element action from the main element 10 cards
1x EACH Non-Amulet Element action from the secondary element 5 cards
2x Non-elemental Class action 2 cards
1x Amulet of the main element OR 3rd Non-elemental Class action 1 card
2x Entwine for the main element 2 cards
1x Invigorate (see hero deck for pitch suggestion) 1 card
1x Rejuvenate (see hero deck for pitch suggestion) 1 card
ToA Deckbuilding Tips
I’ve found that building ToA bulk works best in groups of 3.
3 These lists are not as rigorously defined
as other decks, letting you adjust based on how much of a pitch color you actually have (many cards
had a surprisingly low print count compared to others, I noticed). This means, if you’re not careful,
careful
you could accidentally make an incredibly weak deck or one that just isn’t functional (such as a mostly
red pitch Oldhim deck where he just can’t afford his cards).

To protect yourself a bit, try to keep a lot of variety in your pitch values as you build, as shown in the
graphics below:

Lexi List Example:

Card Name Red Yellow Blue Any Pitch
Dazzling Crescendo 1 1 1 1
Buzz Bolt 1 1 1 1
Frazzle 1 1 1 1

You can see in this example, one

deck has 2 Red Pitch Dazzling
Crescendo, one has 2 Yellow, the
third has 2 Blue. Additionally, the
deck with 2 Red Pitch Crescendos
does not have 2 Red Pitch Buzz
Bolt, and same applies to the other
decks. When Frazzle gets added,
the first deck will get 2 Blue Pitch,
and the other decks will get 2
of the pitch value they have not
received 2 of yet (Red and Yellow,
respectively).

Intro Hero Quick Start Guides
The following pages include printable quick start guides
for each hero with intro blitz decks. Margins have been
accounted for, you simply need to print a few copies and
cut them in half.
half Ideally, when someone picks a hero deck
they would like to try out, they could take one of these
guides and get some insights to how to play that hero, or
they can go through them all first and pick from there.
There is a “play if you like” section that goes over play
style in a little more depth.

The tips and tricks pages will usually reference cards

from the intro decks that I’ve created, but the rest of
it is good general information if you make your own
adjustments to those decks.

To save on display space, these guides have

been designed in a way that they will fan
nicely and give players plenty of information
to help them pick their first deck.

NOTE: These have not been vetted by
