I think they're Se>Ne.

7w8s are usually more realistic and grounded.

I think they're also sx blind, as the sexual seven

subtype is super imaginative and lives in fantasies,
while the self-preservation 7 is again, more realistic
and grounded just like the 7w8!

Why ENTP over ESTP?

This ennea subtype's name is "realist".

And why not sx/sp?

so7 is self-sacrifice type.
It is little suitable for 7w6, but not for 7w8.

The 7w8 personality has most traits of the 7 types, but

some of the type 8 as well, so these are passionate,
determined, and protective people who care very
deeply about things and people around them. The
7w8 personality is also very tough and work-oriented
than other 7 types. Enneagram 7w8 personality is also
more independent, determined and confident but can
also be more excessive and materialistic. 7w8 are
bold, competitive, and aggressive, persuasive and
assertive over their ideas and determined to get their
way. They are playful and love to have a good time.
Easily bored, so they start things they never finish.
Frustrated living inside unhappy relationships.

When healthy, Sevens with an 8 wing are often
generous, gregarious and expansive. Tend to be

they do. They are interested in having a lot of money,
and because they are willful, they do what they must

confrontations because of the excitement which
conflicts produce. In general, this is a harder, more
willful, and more selfish subtype. These people care
principally about themselves, and are much more

THE SEVEN WITH AN EIGHT-WING: THE REALIST

Healthy
People of this subtype truly enjoy the world and are
“materialistic” in the broadest sense of the word. They
combine quickness with drive, often leading to
material success and positions of power and
prominence. They are determined to get what they
want from life; they think strategically and can rapidly
organize their internal and external resources in
pursuit of their desires. They are earthy, practical, and
tough-minded. Their sense of humor expresses itself
in a biting wit and a taste for the outrageous.

Average
People of this subtype apply their energies in many
directions, multitasking or even “multicareering.” They
can be aggressive and have the willpower and drive to
take care of their own needs. They tend to be more
workaholic than the other subtype, coming from the
strong desire to accumulate possessions and
experiences. (“I’m worth it!”) Their focus is more on
generating activities than on connecting with people.
Hence they tend to be pragmatic about relationships
—looking for a partner, not a romantic fantasy figure.
They are not afraid to be alone and are clear about
their own expectations and how much they will
tolerate. Directness can verge on bluntness and on
pushing people out of the way to get what they want.
They can be jaded and callous, in contrast to the

Is there a misunderstand of being 7w8 and Ne type,

specially for ENFPs in this site.
There is a lot of ENFP profiles, in specific heroes that
are mistyped as ESFP just because they are ENFP 7w8
Being ENFP 7w8 is about pursuing power and
meaning in the world because , and hello, is a
material world so you need to take action for that,
calming the inner hungry and fear. forcing, pursuing
experiences (that can be sensorial or simbolic) with
willpower.
In other side, there is a lot of mistyped ESFJ/ISFJ as
ENTP or ENFP because they are 7w6/6w7
Enneagram is about the content not the structure.

Extroverted rationals in the idealistic triad. These are

active planners of adventure escaping from Si polr.
EIE is less aggressive at 7w6. LIE has great leadership
abilities in all areas due to more anger at 7w8. Of
course they can switch between wings.

How can 7s ever be Ne users? If you read about 7, it

will literally scream high Se. That doesn't make Ne
users 7 impossible, but they are very unlikely.

I may have some misinformation, but from what I've

read 7s are people who seek thrill and action in thier
environment to maintain that happiness and to avoid
boredom.

EDIT: 7w6 are highly more likely to be Ne users than

the 7w8. I know an ENFP 7w6 in real life, so it's not
very unlikely for Ne users to be 7w6. However quite
unlikely for Ne users to be 7w8s.
