1.0 The Task

Students are required to search for a Double Storey Bungalow that was designed by
local consultant designer. Information can be obtained from local library, internet
search or magazine/book.

From all gathered information, students are required to redraw/generate Auto CAD
or Revit Architecture format drawings in the following formats:

a. Site plan together with roof plan and site contexts.

b. Floor plan/s.
c. Elevations (Min. 4 nos. elevations)
d. Section (Min. 2 nos. sections)

From the above Auto CAD or Revit Architecture drawings, students are required to
develop full 3D [3 dimensional] model for Final Group Project, where students are
required to develop/complete an architectural Revit Architecture drawings
presentation.
BCT633- Building Information Modelling (BIM)

2.0 Project Submission Requirements

2.1. Individual Assignment: 2 Dimensional [2D] drawings. (1 Week)

a. SITE PLAN + ROOF PLAN + SITE CONTEXTS at 1:100/50 scale in A3 format.

b. FLOOR PLAN/PLANS at 1: 100/50 scale in A3 format.

c. ELEVATIONS at 1:100/50 scale in A3.

d. SCALE at 1:100/50 in A3 format.

General notes: All drawings are to be properly mounted on mounting board [white or
black mounting board] using ‘spray mount’ - [allow min. 20mm surround border]. All
drawings are to be well presented with appropriate line thickness, legends etc.
Drawings must be in black and white mode. Students are required to use your
creativity to design their own DRAWING TITLE for each drawing.

2.2. Final Group Project: Presentation Drawings (2 Weeks)

a. Full A3 size SINGLE UNIT PERSPECTIVE image on A3 . You are required to

submit a single ‘best architectural perspective view’ of your 3D
projection/rendering.

b. FLOOR PLANS AND ELEVATION images on A3. You are required to

compose and render all the drawings.

General notes: All images are to be mounted on mounting board [white or black
mounting board] using ‘spray mount’ and binding- [allow min. 20mm surround border +
butter/tracing paper cover]. Students are required to design their own drawing title for
each drawing/perspective images. Students are required to use your
understanding of building construction, imagination and creativity to create this final
project.

2.3. Final Presentation – Digital media (Video)

a. All groups are also required to submit a full digital format of all submission materials
(2D and 3D tasks). [Revit format].

b. Submission of 2D and 3D in format of pdf version, The Video format for Group
Presentation shall be in appropriate and compatible format available.

3.0 Submission Date

WEEK 6 : All submission as per items 2.1 [2D Drawings] - Individual

WEEK 8 : All submission as per items 2.2 [3D Drawing & Model] - Group

Week 11 : Group Presentation

Week 14 : Final Group Presentation
