TOPIC- COMBATING COVID-19

The recent outbreak of COVID-19 is one of the most significant health crises the world has seen in a century. A significant
proportion of asymptomatic carriers of the disease, with mild symptoms that can be confused for other illnesses, and a lack of
sufficient testing makes it extremely hard to accurately assess the number of infected people. The death toll and the number of
patients is still exponentially increasing in most affected areas. The United States, being one of the very first to get affected and
having a rapid increase in the cases have a lot concerns and are working towards the betterment of the people.

COVID-19 is affecting US citizens in various ways, mental and health conditions, economic conditions, medical conditions.
Since it started there has been many lockdowns and due which many companies shut down leading to many American citizens
losing their jobs, and majority not finding new ones, making it more difficult to buy needs and pay for medical service. COVID-
19 affects older people more aggressively than it does younger people. Younger people are most likely to recover from COVID,
which is the opposite for older people. People who have pulmonary, respiratory, or heart issues weakens them if they get
infected, leading to potential death. Children from age 3-18 years can still go to school, respecting COVID protocols like wearing
a mask, social distancing, not sharing any food or objects, which makes depressing life to many families, as children are putting
families at risk. Countless families haven’t been together for over a year, A lot of people have been mentally and physically
depressed due to being alone, not being able to leave their house etc.

When a global health need arises, America doesn't wait; it responds with continual aid and support immediately. For more than
half a century, the United States has been the largest contributor to global health security and assistance. We are on the frontlines
in the fight against all issues and now we are providing immediate assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The United
States of America has invested a lot to combat COVID-19. This commitment demonstrates U.S. leadership in response to the
outbreak and helps continue America's strong tradition of supporting public health around the world.

Biden believes that the federal government must act swiftly to help protect and support our families, small businesses, first
responders, caregivers essential, those who are most vulnerable to health and economic impacts, and our broader communities to
overcome this challenge. Like Biden said “THIS ISN’T ABOUT POLITICS. IT’S ABOUT SAVING LIVES.”

Where they ensure all Americans have access to free and reliable testing by increasing the number of drive through tests, invest
in home based tests, and establish a health job corporations to increase support.

They will provide proper guidance on how to navigate through the pandemic and provide resources for schools, small businesses
etc. by implementing restrictions appropriate for the place, establish funds and introduce emergency packages to ensure safety.

They will implement mask mandate nationwide by working with governors and mayors so that every American will wear a mask.

To conclude, the US has an effective and well-structured plan to ensure the safety of its citizens as well as provide support to
others. They have already implemented certain rules and regulations and have provided immense support to those in need.
