BRL

The decision was made to invest $2,000,000 of the portfolio's $10,000,000 in Brazilian real
estate. We'll put money into BRL and keep it for a month. We'll convert the BRL to USD after
30 days to determine the portfolio's value.

Exchange rate (USD against BRL) Trend

During the one-month holding period that began on November 17th and ended on December 17th, the
exchange rate of the US dollar versus the Brazilian real has risen, stabilized, fallen, and then risen again.
The rates were raised during the first week, then remained steady between November 20 and 21.
However, after a week, the rate fell, then rose to USD 5.6157 per BRL in the second week. However, the
rate began to fall in the third week and continued to fall until the eleventh of December. As a result,
towards the conclusion of the time, on December 9th, 2021, it will be trading at the lowest rate of
5.5532 per BRL. On the graph below, you'll see an illustration:

Portfolio calculation

Decided to invest 2,000,000 USD on BRL.

On 17th December 2021, prevailing USD to BRL conversion rate was 5.5098
Hence,
2,000,000 USD = (2,000,000 x 5.5098)
= 11,019,600 BRL

Now, the BRL currency would be converted again into USD currency after one month holding
period.

On 17 December 2021, prevailing BRL to USD conversion rate was 0.1758 USD

Therefore, converting Euro currency back to USD currency again, we get,

11,019,600 BRL = $ (11,019,600 x 0.1758)
= 1,937,245.68 USD
