LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 9

I. INTRODUCTION OF LESSON
A. Most Essential Learning Competency
Determine the relevance and truthfulness of the ideas presented in the material
viewed.

B. Objectives
1. Identify the message conveyed in a material viewed.
2. Compare and contrast the information presented in the video clip.
3. Cite the relevance and truthfulness of the material viewed in the current
societal issues.

II. NAVIGATING THE OBJECTIVES


Life has been made easier and more efficient with the advent of modern technology
that gives you access to a variety of information. It also enables you to keep in touch and
work with others when facing adversities especially now that we are in the middle of a crisis
brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, as a 21 st-century learner, you must be critical
of whatever information you receive especially through various platforms of social media. Be
wary of materials that are misleading or even utterly false.
But how will you know if certain information is relevant and true? A source is said to
be relevant if it provides useful information regarding a situation of current interest. On the
other hand, a source is said to be truthful if it supplies the information it possesses.
Information is untrue if it declares the contrary of what it knows, or just says less, or
something different, even if consistent with its knowledge.
Hopefully, this will encourage you to be mindful of what is happening around you, to
work with others especially in times of difficulty, and to help you determine the relevance and
truthfulness of the ideas presented in whatever material you may come across with.

WRITE A POEM- Compose a poem about our frontliners.

DANCE- Express your appreciation to our frontliners through dance moves. Video yourself
dancing with an appropriate music.

OTHERS- If you can’t sing, draw, write a poem, or dance, think of other ways on how you
can thank and show your appreciation to our frontliners.
