Government Schemes launched by the Government


1. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna: SIRJEE CLASSES
(Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare)

The Government of India launched this scheme on 24th


February 2019.
This scheme is designed to help farmers who have a piece
of land less than 2 hectares.
This scheme has a provision that allows the transfer of
Rs. 6000 to the bank accounts of the farmers in need.
This scheme will also provide aid to farmers who are unable
to finance the expenditures related to agriculture.
2. Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan yojna (Ministry of Labour and Employment)

This is also a scheme which is aimed at helping the workers


of the unorganized sector like auto drivers, rag pickers, etc.
Assured Pension of Rs. 3000/- month will be given.
Eligibility
✓ For Unorganized Workers (UW)
✓ Entry Age between 18 to 40 years
✓ Monthly Income up to Rs 15000/-

3. PM CARES Fund
The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in
SIRJEE CLASSES

Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) was


created on 28 March 2020, following the COVID-19
pandemic in India.
The fund will be used for combating, and containment
and relief efforts against the coronavirus outbreak and
similar pandemic like situations in the future.
The fund will also enable micro-donations.
The minimum donation accepted for the PM
CARES Fund is Rs. 10.
The donations will be tax exempt
and fall under corporate social

4. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY)


The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) was launched in the SIRJEE CLASSES

year 2016 by PM Narendra Modi on lines of income declaration scheme.


The PMGKY provided an opportunity to declare the
unaccounted wealth and black money in a confidential
manner and avoid prosecution after paying a fine of 50%
on the undisclosed income.
2020 coronavirus pandemic
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in India, the Finance Minister, had announced a
Rs. 1.7 lakh crore Gareeb Kalyan package under PM garib kalyan yojna to mitigate
the loss faced by the poor due to the coronavirus lockdown.
1. To provide an insurance cover of Rs 50 lakhs per health worker affected by COVID-19.
2. To provide free 5 kg wheat or rice and 1 kg of pulses for 80 crore poor people.
3. There will be an increase in MNREGA wage to Rs 202 per day to benefit 13.62 crore families.

Over 80 crore poor people are to be provided free food grains till November 2020
5 kg of wheat/rice and 1 Kg of pulses per family.

5. Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan (PMGKRA)


The Government of India launched a rural public works SIRJEE CLASSES

scheme ‘Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan’ through video-


conferencing from village Telihar in Khagaria district
of Bihar on 20th June 2020.
Key Points
Beneficiaries: The scheme will empower and provide
livelihood opportunities to the return migrant workers
and rural citizens who have returned to their home
states due to the Covid-19 induced lockdown.
Duration and Outlay: This campaign will work in mission mode for 125 days with
an outlay of Rs. 50,000 crore.
Coverage: A total of 116 districts across 6 states, namely Bihar, Uttar Pradesh,
Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha (where maximum migrant
workers have returned) have been chosen for the campaign.

The workers will help build gram panchayat bhawans and anganwadi centres,
national highway works, railway works and water conservation projects,
among others across 6 states.

1. Mission Chandrayaan - 2
Chandrayaan-2 is the second lunar exploration mission developed by
the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), after Chandrayaan-1.
As of September 2019, it consists of a lunar orbiter, and also included

developed in India.
