15 You also have to be vigilant at all times.

16 Now, please get your LAS in Computer Systems Servicing

17 for First Quarter.


18 This LAS is prepared to guide you in Creating portable
19 bootable devices
20 Learners call your parents, guardians, relatives or any
21 Member of the family to guide and assist you in this

activity.

Turn your LAS on page 13. Preparing Bootable flash drive.
So now, let have a definition of what a bootable flash drive

is.
A bootable flash drive is a device that will allow you to boot

the computer from the file system on the flash drive rather

than the hard drive.


Today laptop or desktop computers come many USB ports.

So, there is no need of CD/DVD drive to format a system.

Formatting is very fast and easy with bootable flash drive.


There are 12 procedures on how to create or prepare a

bootable flash drive.

First, Double-click PowerISO software icon to open the

application
Second step, Select Tools tab from the menu bar
Third step, Choose “Create Bootable USB Drive” from the

list box
Fourth step, A dialog box will appear asking for

confirmation, simply click OK button


Fifth step, In “Create Bootable USB Drive” dialog box, click

the “…” icon beside “Source Image File” to open Windows

operating system (e.g. Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows

Server or Windows 10) Note: It must be ISO file


6th step, Choose which operating system you want for your

bootable flash drive (example: Windows 7 All In One Pre-

Activated), then click Open button


Next step, is on the “Destination USB Drive” bar, choose

the correct USB flash drive if multiple USB drives are

connected to the computer.


8th step, Choose the proper writing method “USB-HDD” is

recommended.
Next step, Click “Start” button to start Creating

Bootable USB Drive


Then, the PowerISO dialog box will alert you that all data in

the USB drive will be destroyed or deleted. Click Ok button

to continue.

The program will start writing USB drive, and showing the

progress information as shown in the progress bar (green-

colored).
11th step, Click Ok button if a dialog box will pop up

informing you that writing on the USB drive completed.

And the LAST step is to Click Close button to close the

application.
So there you have it! The 12 step by step process in

preparing a bootable flash drive.

on doing it. After watching, you need to answer the activity

Properties.

14 First, Right click on LAN icon (PC) or Wifi icon (Laptop) at
