ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Vardhaman College of Engineering was
established in 1999 with an endeavour to impart
high quality Technical Education and innovative
research in the fields of Engineering technologies,
with emphasis on industry oriented programs for
development of students as well as faculty.
Vardhaman College of Engineering is affiliated to
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU),
Hyderabad, and is approved by the All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New
Delhi.
The prime objective of Vardhaman College is to
update and modernize the quality of professional
education. Its aim is to employ innovative teaching
methods which carry an emphasis on fast
changing technological trends. This is to integrate
classroom learning with actual work experience in
the industry concerned or in a related professional
field. In the course of continued march towards
excellence the VCE was credited with the status of
an Autonomous Institution by UGC, Accredited by
NAAC with 'A++' Grade and five UG programmes
(ECE, EEE, CSE, IT, ME) are accredited by NBA
(Tier-1).
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department is headed by Dr. G A E Satish
Kumar having vast teaching experience and
supported by highly qualified faculty
10-Professors, 12-Associate Professors and
30-Assistant Professors. The department has
established centers of excellence in Cadence
VLSI Design, NI LabVIEW Academy, Signal
processing, RF and Microwave Simulation and
Intel Intelligent Systems.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATIONS
Image analysis or imagery analysis is the extraction
of meaningful information from images; mainly
from digital images by means of digital image
processing techniques. There are many different
techniques used in automatically analyzing
images.Convolutional neural network (CNN) is the
generally used efficient methodology for image
analysis. Deep learning involves machine learning
methods that uses the unsupervised, semi-
supervised or supervised learning strategies for
hierarchical representation and classification. Deep
learning has shown feasible results for
segmentation and classification of images on
multiple domains.
This workshop is intended to provide the
opportunities for faculty, researchers, and UG/PG
students to upgrade their knowledge in the areas
of Image analysis, Deep learning and machine
learning algorithms, and Python programming.
Considering the importance of Image Analysis in
various applications including Artificial Intelligence
and Robotics, this workshop is planned.
