Research Work and Projects:

Projects:
CFD-
CFD-DEM Simulation to study the Effect of Drag Models on the Bubbling Fluidized Beds.
(Ph.D.. Project)
(Ph.D Project)
The objective of the thesis includes:
• To improve the reliability of computational modeling of multiphase flows by
validating with accurate and well-defined experimental data.
• To investigate the effect of scaling down the actual geometry on fluidization behavior.
• To study the stability of the fluidized beds by revisiting the transition criteria available
in the literature and express them in terms of independent variables.
coolants
Pressure drop and heat transfer studies for various cool ants (Master’s Project)
The objective of the project was to understand the pressure drop and heat transfer
characteristics for various molten salt coolants
• Project work includes fabrication of the experimental set-up, experimental
investigations on heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics for various coolants.
• CFD simulation of molten salt heat transfer: Variation of thermophysical properties
with temperature has been incorporated in Open FOAM simulations.
• PIV experiments to study the interfacial turbulence in the liquid-liquid system in the
presence and absence of Marangoni convection.

Manufacture of Di-
Di-Sodium Phosphate (Anhydrous) (Bachelor’s Project)
Project)

The objective of the project was to understand the different methods of production of di-
sodium phosphate.

• The project emphasizes the brief discussion on the manufacturing process of Di-
Sodium Phosphate (anhydrous) and its applications.
• A comparison of various methods for the manufacture of Di-Sodium Phosphate is
carried out.
• Economic analysis to explain the feasibility of the process studies was done.
