What is the exposure

triangle?
The exposure triangle is the method
for setting up your camera ready to
shoot a video. It is what influences
the rules of composition and then
how at what height or angle to shoot
the type or size you want.
Aperture

The aperture is the part of the camera that controls the amount of light
that passes through the lenses at one time to keep everything in focus. It
acts as the pupil in an eye to control how much light is aloud to enter the
camera to create a shot. The iris of the lense controls how much light is
blocked around the aperture, it's called the diaphram. In cinematography
and photography, aperture is known as F numbers/ F-stops which
describes how open or closed the aperture is. The larger the F-stop, the
more everything is in focus and creates a small aperture. The smaller the
F-stop is, the larger the aperture is and there is less in focus. to create a
shallow depth of field you need a smaller F-stop such as F2.8 and for a
longer depth of field there is a larger F-stop needed like F16.

ISO

ISO is your cameras sensitivity to light, and it is measure in hundreds. It increases or decreases the brightness of a photo or video but also
affects grain and noise range. If you have your ISO too high/ bright it will give of a grainy texture rather than a smooth colour. The normal
measurement for ISO on a digital camera is anywhere between 200 and 1600 but some cameras can go as low as 50. if you want to see the
difference between a low ISO and a high ISO you should use a longer shutter speed. You should however try to avoid using a high ISO
wherever possible.

Shutter speed Key words

The shutter speed is how quick the shutter of the • Shutter speed
camera closes. A faster shutter speed creates a shorter • Exposure
exposure which is how much light is takes in. and a slow • Faster
shutter speed give the shot a longer exposure. Higher • Shorter
shutter speeds are better for daytime filming and •

photography. The best speed for a shutter as a beginner

is 1/200th . Below is an example of a slow shutter speed Here is an example of a fast shutter speed which catches motion
as an effect to show motion in the picture quickly and makes it look very cinematic.
