Principal Duties This role is for an SAP Functional Analyst/Consultant in the Life Sciences industry team within
Accenture Management Consulting’s Capability Network (CN) practice. CN is being grown
And Responsibilities: aggressively to service overseas markets and has grown from startup mode to over 4000 consultants
today. Life Sciences practice focuses on solving cross-functional business problems for our
pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device clients. It is uniquely positioned to help clients achieve
high performance with differentiated industry and functional transformation offerings.

The Life Sciences industry group works with the following industries:

• Pharmaceuticals
• Biotechnology
• Medical products and devices

and other companies across the life-sciences value chain and provides services such as large-scale
business and technology transformation, targeted business performance improvement, and post -
merger integration.

Our key areas of focus include marketing and sales, patient services supply chain, manufacturing &
quality, R&D, and digital transformation. Additionally, we operate life sciences-specific business
process and IT outsourcing services across all geographies in the global industry.

average, we have been maintaining client relationship on an average of 10 years. Our clients include

The Life Sciences Analyst will be responsible for helping in driving our Life Sciences clients’ strategy
and business planning efforts. Responsibilities may include:

• Project Delivery: Deliver projects for global clients by working together with medium to
large size teams. Responsibilities may include strategy, implementation, process design and
change management for specific modules

• Business Development: Support efforts of global sales team to identify and win potential
opportunities within the practice.

• Industry Experience: Provide industry expertise in various sub-segments of the LS industry

• Domain Development: Development of assets and methodologies, development of point-of-vie

research or white papers, internal tools or materials for use by larger community. Acquiring skil
that have utility across industry groups.
MBA from Tier-1 B-Schools or have rich experience in case not from Tier-1 B-School
Qualifications:
Management Consulting and General Business Consulting Experience is a must
Experience:
• Worked internationally in the pharmaceutical /medical devices / biotechnology industry or
worked in an international context with clients from the above industry segments.
• 3-5 years of progressive business and/or consulting experience, with 2 years of mandatory
Life Sciences experience.
• Global pharmaceutical industry or consulting experience is preferred.
 • Experience of having worked on SAP S4 HANA implementation projects
• Strong functional knowledge with experience in any of the below mentioned modules
o SAP – EWM
o SAP - IBP

Client Stakeholder and Project Management

• Leads and manages a module / part of a project within a specific area or domain
• Works on client site with minimal supervision in his / her area
• Interacts with clients regularly and provides specialized inputs at a functional level

Communication

• Has good written and verbal communication skills. Can articulate and share points well
• Shares inputs in his / her area to support a deck
• Make presentations wherever required to a known audience or client on functional aspects
of his or her domain. Is part of the larger team which presents to the client

Industry/ functional Skills

• Industry Expertise: Experience in Life Sciences Industry is mandatory

• Consulting Experience in SAP Customization and Implementation with Life Sciences clients
is must, especially in Business scoping, assessment and planning (Blueprinting, Business
case creation, Business Process Redesign etc.)
• Hands-on exposure to EWM, IBP, APO, BW, PP modules is preferred
• Understanding of business process for end to end supply chain (Procurement,
Manufacturing, Production Planning, Warehouse Management, Sales and Distribution)
• Thought leadership experience is preferred: Exposure to consulting assets, methodologies,
points-of-view, research or white papers, marketing collaterals etc.
• Should have worked with multi-functional teams and cross-functional stakeholders
• Preferably worked in an international context servicing client or worked internationally
• Should possess strong program management skills

• The individual should possess excellent communication (written and oral) skills and excellent
Key Competencies and Skills: presentation skills including strong oral and writing capabilities
• The individual should have strong intellect coupled with proficient commercial instincts

• This individual must be comfortable working at the highest levels of client organizations and

• The individual should have demonstrated entrepreneurial instinct
• The individual should possess and demonstrate high integrity and credibility as perceived by
all those with whom s/he will work
• The individual should be diplomatic, flexible, and have a good team approach.

o Location –Bangalore is the preferred location, followed by Gurgaon and Mumbai
