I was up half the night corresponding with a physician in S.

Africa about just that (hey, it was

early morning, 4 a.m., here but obviously mid-day there).

His major concern seems to be that this particular virus variant infects children of all ages,
even newborns, as easily as it infects adults. He even suggested that pre-natal infections
seem to be in the repertoire of this virus.

The upstart of that finding is that newborns can be birthed already impaired both physically
and mentally…a horror show if there ever was one.

Now, that’s not the sort of sorry and scary shit I needed to stay up half the night to learn,
am I right? The rest of my night’s sleep was deeply troubled, indeed.

The Omicron variant is more transmissable, but they don’t know if it’s more dangerous yet
(keeping their options open).

It originated in Africa, possible mutating in an “untreated AIDS patient” (sick people are
breeding grounds for dangerous “mutations”).

“it has more than double the mutations of Delta…scientists anticipate that the virus will be
more likely to infect – or reinfect – people who have immunity to earlier variants.
(undermining natural immunity, selling more boosters, keeping the scarefest going).

“Scientists are concerned” that current vaccines may not be as effective against the new
strain, they may need to be “tweaked” (get your boosters, and the new booster we haven’t
invented yet)

“Scientists expect that recently approved antiviral drugs, such as Merck’s pill, will work as
effectively against the new variant” (more on this later)

It’s already spreading around the world, and travel bans may be needed to prevent the need
for another lockdown
