MATHEMAGICS 4 JUNIORS
Code Name = M4J_Wb_DP

These following exciting 9 week / 9 Lesson course on the Divine Proportion Lesson
Plans are the script to make a series of videos to fulfill a need for a new curriculum
for Mathemagics 4 Juniors (ages 9 and over), Code Name = M4J.

As this material is being taught and revised, it is allowing me to put my 30 years of


knowledge on Sacred Geometry into coherent and easy to understand capsules of
knowledge, as an evolving online content for the International Home Schooling
Movement. I am essentially ready to upload these streams of contents ready for
interested parents and students to download them.

It essentially is a guide for Parents to introduce their child to the basic geometric
concepts that is suitable for this age group.
I like to teach the 10 year old students, as if they are adults, using keywords like
Fractal, Implosion, Scale Invariant and Self-Similar etc when communicating to them.
On a higher level, they already know this material. Also, when teaching adults, I like to
interact with them as if they were 10 year old students.

In the weekly 9 Lessons, that fit into a traditional School Term, the students will learn
of the fabulous Fibonacci Sequence: 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21-34-55-89-144 etc and how it
connects to the Living Mathematics of pine cones and sunflowers, the science and
maths of counter-rotating fields. Although a lot of these names may appear complex,
after some study and inquiry, the students confidently learn that this is our legacy
form the Greek empire several thousands of years ago. In fact, all this material was in
our Mathematics Curriculum 100 years ago, along with the 5 Platonic Solids, but it got
systematically taken out. All I am really doing is putting back in the curriculum what
was already there.
The student will learn about the progression of the Dimensions: 1-dim Fibonacci
Sequence generates the 2-dim Phi Spiral or flat Nautilus Shell pattern, leading to the
curvology of the 3-dim Ram’s Horn which in turn leads to the 4-dim Torus. Ultimately
this ancient knowledge hidden inside flowers and crystals, connects to the twin helices
of our DNA radio, allowing the keen student to understand the fundamental meaning
of this statement, that Shape Stores Memory.

The putting together of this rare and original syllabus has been a fantastic challenge
for me, being forced to write content for the youngest level of the enquiring mind,
asking myself, how is it that an innocent Child truly learns. Usually I am cracking
cryptic codes and working on high level algebraic equations, so this simple and
evolving Miniversity has kept the target real and focussed.

WHOSE NUMERICAL SIGNATURE OR CODING IS 8:13
(ie: specifically13 going Clockwise and 8 going Anti-Clockwise)
To create the worksheet that embodies these two specific spin numbers, we need to
superimpose an 8 Pointed Star upon a 13-Pointed Star, both aligned at their centre. We
need to plot the 8 and 13 points onto one worksheet, shown below, where there are 8
points (from a Double Square or a Diamond over the Square) marked on the Inner
Circle and shown as small open circles; and there are 13 Dots on the outer circle
taken from the tips of the 13 pointed Star.

You will begin this exercise by first selecting two favourite colours.
The first colour, say blue, is only for the 8 Anti-Clockwise spirals; you have the choice
to either start at the centre and draw your curve from the centre and outwards to
meet the open dot, or start from the outer open dot and curve towards the centre
point.
The second colour, say orange, is only for the 13 Clockwise spirals; you have the
choice to either start at the centre and draw your curve from the centre and outwards
to meet the small outer dot, or start from the small outer dot and curve towards the
centre point.
This is to practice the art of getting the curves elegant and smooth.

HOW TO GENERATE THE INFINITE FIBONACCI SEQUENCE
Write out as many Fibonacci Numbers in growing and sequential order, mentally,
without calculating with a pen and paper, nor using an electronic calculator!

Begin with Zero, and then Add 1, as this is the beginning of an Infinite Additive
Sequence:
To get the 3rd term, you add the previous 2 numbers, thus 0+1 = 1, we now have our
sequence looking like this:
0, 1, 1,
To get the 4th term, you add the last 2 numbers, thus 1+1 = 1, we now have our
sequence looking like this:
0, 1, 1, 2,

Even though we are adding 2 numbers, it is really a Trinity, or 3-fold factor, we are
adding the Past, to the Present, to create the Future!

The FIBONACCI SEQUENCE:

The central artwork is a character called “Haha- Aha” of which 100 various drawings were created on this shape,
essentially it is a Golden Triangle, as the shorter side to the longer 2 sides are in the ratio of 8:13 or Pine Cone ratio.
I drew this series of Fibonacci-based drawings circa 1982 whilst living 2 years in the Torres Strait Islands, where I lived
with villagers and studied nature in the tropical rainforests there. Below is another Phi-based drawing from that time).

problem called the Involute of the Circle, used importantly for the making of engineering gears, I studied this material on
the Torres Straits, it was the only book I had with me, in my early twenties, and assisted in teaching myself the art of

RESEARCH:
On the internet, there is a lot of good information about how Leonardo de Pisa (aka
Fibonacci) had written about the famous Rabbit population, and published it in his book
“Liber Abaci” (lit. The Book of the Abacus) in the C12th. His mentioning of the
Fibonacci Sequence came from stories he had heard about it whilst in Egypt. 800
years after first merely writing about it, it has immortalized him. Others before had
tried to introduced the Hindu-Arabic system of 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 and 0, he merely
popularized it.

What do you notice about Leonardo de Pisa’s mentioning of his illustrated Sneezewort
plant, it is one of the main diagrams that has survived the centuries and immortalized
Fibonacci de Pisa.

F12 the 12th Fibonacci Number is the only number in the infinite sequence that is a
square of its nth term, since F12 = 144 which is 12 x 12 or 12^2 or 122.

Observe the dotted horizontal line that represents the idealized Phi Ratio of
1.618033… since it goes to infinity without any detectable decimal recursion or
patterning. It is not really a number, but a relationship of cascading Fibonacci numbers,
that gets closer and closer to this frequency of 1.618033988… as the numbers get
larger and larger.

DRAW GRAPH OF THE CASCADING HARMONICS

Now that you have tabulated the divisions, plot all your answers on this graph above.
eg: look at the x-axis (horizontal base) where “3/2” is written and its answer is “1.5”.
Follow that vertical line, up the y-axis till you locate the number 1.5 and place a visible
dot there. When you have plotted all of them up 144/89 you will have the choice of
either joining all the dots that you had plotted with a curved flowing line or a straight
line using a ruler.

The cascading or adjacent divisions decimalized to 14 DP (Decimal Places).


Notice the last entry: 89/55 = 1.618181818… is the first moment when Phi gets
precise to 1.618… (the 3 dots “…” means that the decimals just keep going on
forever).
nb: Phi is not a Number, it is a series of cascading proportions that approaches but
never reaches

Basically, the left hand side of the Phi Wave Graph shows the Long Wave or the Macro
Universe, and as it proceeds to the right hand side, it is getting smaller and smaller
towards the Micro or Atomic World.

(The only known shape that can ultimately unify or connect this apparent duality of
infinitely large and infinitely small is the Torus, that has 2 directions, an In and an Out,
which you will discover later in this course, is a 4th dimensional Sphere that has
imploded or been sucked in towards its centre, but was formed from a coherent
nesting of infinite 3-dim Phi Spirals known as the Ram Horns).

The plural of Torus is Tori. When many Tori nest or embed, one within the other, like
nesting Russian Dolls, but in a precise manner based on the Fibonacci Sequence, the
waves become coherent. When we slice the Tori with a transverse cut, that which is
revealed is the Infinity Symbol.

The Divine Proportion has many names:

This is called the Square Root of Phi, meaning what number multiplied by itself will
give 1.618. eg: The square root of 144 is √144 =12 since 12 x 12 = 144.
Similarly The Square Root of Phi is √ ϕ =1.272… since 1.2722 = 1.618
In ancient times, it was recognized that the precise frequency necessary to make
the Circle and Square Equal in Circumference and Perimeter, known as the Mystical
Squaring or Quadrature of the Circle, was to increase the unit Diameter of the
Circle from 1 to 1.272, to make Heaven and Earth equal! It also approximates an 8:9
ratio. To makes the Areas Equal is another secret.

Also, when the base of the Cheops Pyramid is 2x2, the Apothem is 1 unit, the Height
is 1.272… and its Slope Height is 1.618… This value of 1.272… aka Root Phi, is used
most reverently in the world of Stock Marketing and Currency Trading, it seems to
underpin the Price and Time of the shifting Economy’s movements, according to
Phi-based cycles.
This is why such knowledge is not taught in schools, as it is guarded and taught to a

CONSTRUCTION of the PHI SPIRAL

We begin by converting the Fibonacci Numbers into Squares. This act is a form of
Translating Number Into Art.
We can number each of the squares according to a Fibonacci Number.
We can make an approximate Golden Rectangle by using 5:8 or 8:13 but here we will
use the numbers that define the counter-rotating field of the Daisy Flower which is
13:21.
We only need to use the numbers: 1 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 8 – 13 :

Step 1: Check the size of the Grid or Graph Paper, is its length and breadth 21x13?

LOCATING the EYE of GOD

How do we find the Eye of the Spiral aka The Sweet Spot or Eye of the Tornado?

Using 2 critical Diagonals to establish this Vortex Centrepoint or the Infinity Point.

Go back to Exercise 3B and in pencil or any colour, draw these 2 Diagonals that pass
through 2 various sizes of Golden Rectangles and mark the Sweet Spot.
It is at this critical Infinity Point that the Golden Phi Spiral will go around and around
but will never touch it!
You can now complete your Golden Spiral by going around this mystical non-existent
point wormhole, and rest your pencil or pen on that point, transmitting your focused
energy or consciousness into that location, as if to potentize, or amplify your state of
equanimity. It is also a sacred place that you can use to manifest any specific desires
that you may have, but best that it is coming from Pure Intent and not just base or
selfish desires.

This is how you can find the 4 Eyes of God or Infinity Points in this following Golden
Rectangle!

Here is the Grid or Template of Dots that created the Phi Spiral in Exercise 3B.
But this time, we are going to add in the 2 important or critical dots that makes this
design very psycho-active:
1. The Eye of God, that was shown in the previous pages in Exercise 3C. Use a lead
pencil very softly to draw in the 2 diagonals to locate that Sweet Spot.
2. The Center of the Golden Rectangle or Phi Rectangle. To locate this Dot,
observe the 4 corners of the Phi Rectangle and softly pencil in the 2 diagonals to
see where they intersect.
3. To add some depth to your Talisman or Magical Sigil, you can add in a curve or
two. Have a look at my design on the following page to give you an idea.

HOW TO DIVIDE A GIVEN LINE INTO THE GOLDEN MEAN

INSTRUCTIONS:
DIVIDING A LINE SEGMENT ACCORDING TO MEAN AND EXTREME RATIO

1- On the next page, extrapolate or extend horizontally and to the right, the Line
AB its same distance to a point Z, such that AB = BZ.
You can put your compass on point B and with a radius of AB, you can make a
big circle around Point B as centre.
2- Using the Crossing Of Arcs method to Bisect the long line AZ to get your
perpendicular vertical line.
3- The Perpendicular CB is half the length of AB.
So you will need to Cross Arcs again to find the midpoint of AB, call it M, as MB
will equal the height of CB = half of unity or .5.
4- Join Diagonal AC.
5- Place compass point on C, open distance to CB and make an upward arc that
hits or intersects the diagonal AC. This is called Point D.
6- Place compass point on A, open distance to AD and make an downward arc that
hits or intersects the original baseline AB. This is called Point S, and is the
Golden Mean or Divine Proportion of the line AB

CONSTRUCTION of the ARBELOS

For this exercise you will need to know how to find the Golden Mean of a Line, or in
this case, the diameter of the circle. Revise the previous Exercise 5C to proceed.

INSTRUCTIONS:
On the next page, you are given just a Circle with its CentrePoint or Origin called “O”.
1- Draw the horizontal diameter as best as you can. Call this line JJ’. Radius is JO. See
the diagram above.
2- Place compass point on J. Open compass more than the length of JO radius and
cross the arcs to establish the vertical line AF. Another diameter that essentially
quadrates or quarters the circle.
3- We want to establish the point D which is the Divine Proportional length of AF.
Repeat Exercise 5C utilizing the triangular geometry just employed.
4- You need to find the 2 centres of the 2 future circles, Centrepoint E and
Centrepoint B. Both E and B are midpoints of lines FD and AD so use the method of
Crossing Arcs in Exercise 5B to establish these 2 focal points to create the Arbelos.
5- With compass on centrepoint B, and radius AB, inscribe the larger circle.
6- Similarly, with compass on centrepoint E, and radius ED, inscribe the smaller circle.

We have just learnt a lot about the development of the Fibonacci Sequence.
Simply, the Golden Mean Phi is an Expansion Ratio that allows each number in the
Fibonacci Sequence to be the sum of the previous two.
Let us now turn our attention to some of the special features of the Fibonacci
Sequence. This section is based on pure Number Theory.

Drawing the WHEEL OF 24 by HAND

We are going to plot the Infinitely Repeating 24 Pattern (aka Phi Code 108
rediscovered by Jain 108) around a circle, so we need to divided a Circle into 24 rays
or with 24 dots as an indicator where to place the 24 single digits.
Given is a circle with 8 dots equally spaced, which is easy to draw as it is simply 2
crosses derived from 2 overlapping squares.

Visualizing that you have a pizza cut into 8 triangular slices, we need to mark 2 more
dots to make 2 more slices per 1/8th slice to get our 24 dots on the circle. Place 2 dots
on the rim of each slice, meaning you are cutting each slice into 3 smaller ones, until
you have a Wheel of 24. In the space provided, draw free-hand your wheel of 24:

The Continued Sums of any 2 Random Numbers
Fibonaccoid Style Approach 1.618…

The classic Fibonacci Sequence that we are dealing with is the classic 1,1, 2, 3, 5, 8
sequence etc. It’s 2 Starting Numbers are 1 and 1. Lets call this a Pair (1, 1).
It just happens that we can actually have any Starting Numbers of our choice, eg: Pair
(4, 27) or Pair (33, 89) etc.
This process of adding any 2 numbers in a continued way where you keep adding the
previous number to the last number, as in the classic Fibonacci Sequence is called
Fibonaccoid.
Observe the following Fibonaccoid Pair (9, 36) shown in the table below:

style, upon division of the consecutive sums, approach 1.618…
As the series grows, we are required to keep dividing the last number by the previous
number. This is truly one of the most special features of the Fibonacci Sequence that I
know of, that all sums approach Phi.

Research: CASSINI: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cassini's identity is a mathematical identity for the Fibonacci numbers. It states that
for the nth Fibonacci number:

(It just means, based on what we have just done: that for any Fib Number, when you
multiply the Number Before and the Number After and then subtract the Square of
that Number, you always get a Plus One and Minus One in Alternating Order.
Cassini's formula was discovered in 1680 by Jean-Dominique Cassini, then director of

Print this out 5 times: First, use this small inverted Pentacle, to draw the larger one,

PHI TRIANGLE

It is always of benefit and interest to know of the specific angles that relate to the Phi
Ratio, in this case the Phi Triangles. 1 of 5 arms in the Pentacle are embedded or
surrounded by the Pentagon whose internal angles are 108° degrees. The Phi
Triangle has an apex of 36° and 2 base angles of 72°.

The Shaded area is called a Phi Triangle or Golden Triangle and is one of the 5 arms of
the Pentacle/Pentagram. It is in the approximate ratio of 8:13 (the code of the pine
cone’s counter-rotating fields). More precisely, the lengths of this Isosceles Triangle
(because the 2 longer sides are the same length) are in the Phi Ratio of 1:1.618…
Notice how the shape of the Temple or Pagoda of Yakushiji in Japan is also a Phi
Triangle!

"The 4th Dimensional Triangle"

Triangulation is Spirit's step to create form, enclosure, matter.


From the fertile union of Father and Mother, the Original 1 and 2,
a Child is born, the Essence of 3. It's name is Triangle.
Its next child is Volume called Tetrahedron or triangular-based pyramid
that is the leggo or basic building block of Earth's creations.
(If you had 5 cardboard-model tetrahedrons, ie: 5 Tetrahedra on your table, and you glued 4 of them
around the 4 triangular faces of the 5th Tetrahedron, you would have this 4-Dim Triangle.
Interestingly, if you shined a laser beam or light upon a wire-frame model of this, its shadow would
surprisingly create the 5-Pointed Star, which is the shape of all your proteins!). From there, as we
climb the Dimensional Ladder of Consciousness, our Stairway To Heaven, is the 4th Dimensional
Triangle, so mysterious, unfathomable, abstract, yet so simple, so pure, it has No Name;
it's progeny is All That Is, returning us, trinitizing us, back to The One.

CREATIVE USE OF PHI TRIANGLE NODES by Collin Saad, 1982

This is one of my first drawings in 1982, (my name then was Collin Saad, became Jain
in 1984 after an Out-Of-Body Experience), when I lived for 2 years with medicine men
in the Torres Straits Islands. The vertical mast of the “Ship At Sea” has been divided
into the Fibonacci Numbers: 1-1-2-3-5-8-13-21-34. Every one of these nodes on the
vertical mast connects with the sides of the Phi Triangle. This therefore is the guts of
the Phi Triangle at a skeletal level!

Start by drawing the horizontal diameter AB. “O” is the Origin or centre of the Circle.
Quadrate the circle with OC. Radius is therefore OC or OB. Bisect OB at D by using
compass and crossing of arcs. With compass placed at centre D, and radius CD cut
AO at E, marking the full arc down from C to E as shown. With centre C and radius CE
cut the circumference at F marking the small arc upwardly. CF equals one side of the
Pentagon. Complete the Pentagon by marking the other 4 points by walking the
distance of CF around the circle’s circumference. The 2nd side is FG etc…

PHANTASTIC POSSIBILITIES OF THE PENTAGONS

It has been recorded in all mathematical text books that the Pentagon can not tile the
plane, yet when we examine and cut out various geometries within the Pentagon, we
are able to do so with some very special shapes that are harmonics of the 108
degrees!
To make a pattern grow from a central point, we need to establish a Seed Pattern.
It is interesting when we tile just pentagons, and inspect the spaces or gaps between
them, this gives us a clue how to tile the plane. Such revelations were first recorded
by the physicist and mathematician Roger Penrose and scientists all over the world
now agree that these amazing and simple patterns indeed underlie the nature or fabric
of liquids and strange crystals called quasi-crystals and even have higher analogs in the
higher dimensional lattice-worlds.

Sir Roger Penrose OM FRS (born 8 August 1931) is an English mathematical


physicist, mathematician and philosopher of science. He is the Emeritus Rouse Ball
Professor of Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford, as
well as an Emeritus Fellow of Wadham College.

Penrose is known for his work in mathematical physics, in particular for his
contributions to general relativity and cosmology. He has received several prizes and
awards, including the 1988 Wolf Prize for physics, which he shared with Stephen
Hawking for their contribution to our understanding of the universe.

Penrose is well known for his 1974 discovery of Penrose tilings, which are formed
from two tiles that can only tile the plane non-periodically, and are the first tilings to
exhibit fivefold rotational symmetry. Penrose developed these ideas based on an
article by the Czech statistician Jaromír Korčák.
In 1984, such patterns were observed in the arrangement of atoms in quasicrystals.

In 1983, Penrose was invited to teach at Rice University in Houston, by the then

This process can be repeated infinitely, every time we connect the face centres of
either the Icosahedron or Dodecahedron, they keep making the other form. This
process is called an Infinite Series. It is Scale Invariant, meaning that size does not
matter, the shapes can get either smaller and smaller towards the atom size, or bigger
and bigger towards the galactic, when we stellate or grow the faces.

"Definition of Stellate" THE STELLATED ICOSAHEDRON

To stellate means to make like a star!


This expansion principle is a form of growth, life.
The shape shown here has 20 stellated 3-
dimensional triangles (tetrahedra) covering a core
shape not seen, known as the Icosahedron (icosa
means 20 and hedron means face).
If we were to join these 20 stellated tips or vertices,
another shape is created called the dodecahedron,
having 12 pentagonal faces. If we were to stellate
these 12 pentagons with the appropriate shape
called a pentagonal pyramid, and join the 12
vertices, an interesting thing happens, the
icosahedron is formed again, this time a bit larger
than before, almost doubled in size.
This is a veritable or true form of shape-shifting, it is pure magic at its best, because each
stellation increases the original form by the Golden Mean (the mathematics of flowers,
crystals, the mystical place where the elbow bends etc).
So we started with a specific shape called Icosa, we stellated it twice, made it into a double
star, and ended up with the same shape again. This is the ultimate definition of what Fractal
means, the current buzz world in the parlours of sacred geometry, it is the definition of
SELF-SIMILARITY, no different than the act of having a baby, which is a miniaturized
carbon copy of the divine Mother. Even the word "Divine" hints at the same definition of
stellation and fractality, as "divine" really means "de vina" or "of the vine" which is really

branch sends out a twig, all in the same self-similar algorithm, the end product is to make
fruit. (An algorithm is like a recipe, a set of instructions, like making a cake and adding in the
ingredients. Here, the only instruction is to copy yourself in the most optimal way. This is
why the Divine Phi Proportion is the ultimate cake recipe, this optimum ratio of 1:1.618..., just
keep copying your dna, remain fractal and therefore unlimited, the supreme art of survival).
The relationship with Icosa-Dodeca is the key to fractality because when you keep stellating
the icosa, it becomes the dodeca, which becomes the icosa again which becomes the
dodeca again, but each time it grows, so if you did this to infinity or the other way into the
atomic structure, you have found a non-destructive self-organized pathway (based on
fibonacci numbers or phi 1:1.618...), and the size doesn’t matter, only the proportion is
consistent, only Ratio matters, and this is called Scale Invariant; doesn’t matter if it gets as big
as the universe (explosion) or if it gets as small as the atom (implosion) it keeps growing and
travelling. I believe that this infinite series of the icosa-dodeca stellation is a key to Time

DRAW THE SHADOWS OF THE DODECAHEDRON

Get the students to draw the last or 3rd of these shadows, known as the “Dec View of
Dodeca” (“Dec” means “10”. The proper word for a 10-sided shape is the “decagon”
made up of 10 Golden Triangles).
This can be done in 6 steps:
1 – draw a circle and plot by hand 5 dots on the circle.
2 – draw the pentagram or pentacle or 5-pointed star in the circle to show that this will
lead to the pentagon.
3 – draw the pentagon in the circle and show the 5 other midpoints on the
circumference, preparing to draw a Double Pentagon or 2 Pentagons overlapping and
having their 10 points touching the circle.
4 – draw the Double Pentagon in the circle
5 – draw 10 short emanations or radials coming off the 10 points of the Double
Pentagon
6 – draw the boundary of 10 lines connecting these 10 radials to complete the final
diagram.
nb: this diagram is the typical image you see of faceted diamonds or polished crystal
forms.
It is suggested that while you build Dodeca (with the rods and connectors), you
are best to work in groups of 4, as essentially, this shape is unstable.
When the shape has been built, let it twist and fall down flat to the ground (as it
will not stand up on its own, unless the 4 helpers hold it high). This 3-dim dodeca
shape, when collapsed reveals a very interesting pattern: the 10-sided Decagon.
Expressed as a shadow form it is called the Dec View of Dodeca, based on the
Double Pentagon.

ie: The more we keep stellating Dodeca or Icosa, the more it keeps forming its Dual
or Partner or Conjugal…
It must be stated that you cant just stellate each pentagon with the same 1 unit side
that made the Dodeca, it must be a critical Phi Ratio enlargement of 1:1.618… to
make the magic happen, otherwise Icosahedron does not form.
Same with Icosa, we must stellate at the Phi Ratio, to permit infinite travel.

The Soap Bubble, Under Attack, Forms the Dodeca

Explain how a spherical soap bubble, when inserted by a straw-rod, will want to burst,

Rhombic TriaContaHedron
There are 13 shapes called Archimedean solids which differ from the 5 Regular
Platonic Solids due to fact that they are composed of several polygon shapes like
triangles, squares, pentagons. One of them is called the Icosi-Dodecahedron being
made up of Triangles and Pentagons. It is the fusion of Icosahedron and
Dodecahedron and has many phi Proportions.

If Magic Spider were to go inside this shape and join all the 32 face centres (of the 12
Pentagons and 20 Triangles) with its golden thread, this would create its Dual, called
the Rhombic TriaContaHedron shown below. Above right is the geometry of one of
the 30 diamonds that make it, where the axes are based on the Pine Cone numbers of
8:13 or 1:1.618… meaning it is a Phi Diamond.
