LEARN TO SAY NO!

People nowadays, especially we, the students, are considered to be digital

natives. We are occupied by the technological inventions and are governed by both
positive and negative side effects of these scientific discoveries.
Mind you, we do our highly-demanding works like lightning bolts. We do our
assignments, make our projects, and pass them as fast as we can, but it does not
guarantee that we are busy, hardworking and diligent. We are invaded by
procrastination.
With its temptations, just for the sake of having something to pass to our
teachers, three steps should be followed: Highlighting, Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V. These are
actually the easiest ways of doing our school works. We don’t even read those instant
copied paragraphs whether they are right or off-tangent.
It has a gravitational pull that turn our heads to do something entertaining away
to what we should do. However, it only gives us a temporary self-satisfaction, but when
the truth visits us, realities even wake-up our tired bodies and stress minds to face the
real world where our school works silently sleep.
But how can we avoid these? The answer is simple.
Whenever you are tempted to log in on your Facebook, whenever Mobile
Legends entices you, whenever your gadget calls your attention while doing something
more important, and whenever your classmates tell you of something to do instead of
doing academic works, learn to say NO!
Everybody knows that college life comes only once. However, it should be
invested and spent in more important and meaningful ways. We are students and future
teachers, so studying academically must be our priority. I am not saying that all of our
hours should be allotted to school-related activities. We should always give our body a
pure relaxation and worry-free environment. And with the power of mind-setting and
prioritizing, we could turn our heads away from temptations served by procrastination.
We should learn to say NO!
