QUESTION 1

An investigation by the Drug Enforcement Officer into a private medical clinic has found
three types of psychotropic substances namely Diazepam 5 mg, 4350 tablets, Apo Diazepam
10 mg, 53 tablets, buprenorphine 8 mg, 212 tablets were stored in an open cabinet in the
patient’s waiting room. Physical stock balance for both diazepam 5 mg and apo diazepam 10
mg were not the same as in the record. Investigator failed to find who were the suppliers
since no name and address of the suppliers recorded. There was no record for
buprenorphine 8 mg tablet even though all the three products have been prescribed based
on the patient cards being investigated. All the products and related patient cards were
seized.
With reference to the Poisons Act 1952 and its regulations;

advertisement in the newspaper.

iii) THREE (3) types of persons to whom any prohibited advertisement relating to
certain diseases may be published in a publication intended for their
