1. What is Google ' s corporate strategy ?

Google Inc . has a complex corporate strategy , which makes it hard for other firms to
compete . The dynamism of its techniques in realizing its desired goals positions the
company beyond its rivals in the competitive environment . These elements have raised
concerns among observers due to the role the company plays in the industry . Fundamental
questions have been raised whether the company heads in the right direction since its failure
in realizing the ANALYSIS AND DECISION MAKING 12 corporate strategy may affect the
whole industry . Nonetheless , the company ' s key strategy bases on advertisements .
Therefore , regardless of the different factions of the company , its strategic motive leans
towards promoting its dominance in ads . That is evident from the merger between Google

have enhanced the growth of the company ' s advertising strategies is the determination of its
customers ' needs . The company conducts an analysis of the market and the various features
its customers need in their advertising pursuits . As it engages in the assessment , it gathers

company to modify its strategies to meet the needs of the clients . In regards to this
commitment and approach , the company offers free accounts , with keywords that make it

employees have been a contributing factor to the growth and success story of the organization

driverless cars.
Google is one of the tech giants in the world. Google's diversification into new products and business
is a great success. It has given google huge profits and its products are used worldwide.

a) with Reference to browser Chrome : Google Chrome is steadily increasing its market share. It is
very user friendly. The search bar acts as address bar and there is facility to sign in the browser and
with this sign in the user can get access to all the tools of google as well as other forums in which
google sign in works. This helps google do better ads targeting which again increases its online
advertising market share.

b) with Reference to mobile phone operating systems (Android) : When Apple introduced iPhone
Google responded quickly with Android. Today most of the mobile phones have android as the
operating system. This is due to android being open source operating system allowed developers to
build and became preferred operating system for apps as well. Android is customer centric, agile ,
has shorter implementation and response time.

c) with Reference to mobile devices : Google entered into mobile devices so that it can have the
whole chain i.e. mobile device with android operating system and chrome as browser which will give
Google complete control on its advertising business as well. They introduced Pixel which did get
some momentum but did not get good market share as mobile device market is saturated .
Moreover Pixel was priced very high. If Google wanted market share they should have priced it
aggressively. But of lately they are gaining market share in US due to inclusion of stunning camera
with night sight, google assistant .

d) with Reference to driver-less car : Google has launched its Waymo division to develop and market
consumer ready driver-less vehicle around the globe. It can have a drastic impact if it is success. The
car can leave the person and then hunt parking space and then come from that space at leaving
time. It will reduce drunk and drive case. Google has evaluated that it will result in fuel savings as
well.

3.      What threats does Google face?


Google Company was launched in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Bringing to the market of
Google Search , which indicated the most widely web-based search company . Overall , this
business started to grow throughout the world and provided the consumers with good
service . This means that as we all know that Google is an large company with its good
services and products they are aiming to increase their business better with their plans and

model , and the intensive growth strategies of market penetration , market development and
product development . Some of the examples of strategy departments they care for are as

corporate strategy is the broadest and is usually developed with the organization overall
mission in mind by Pride & Ferrell who has indicated that ' corporate strategy determines the
means for using resources in the functional areas of marketing , production , finance ,
research and development , and human resources to reach the organizational goals . This
means that Google does not use their strategies for one sector they see their objectives in
many sectors that will make their service and company more attractiveness . However , the
corporate strategy at Google highlights that not only the scope of the business but it also
determines resources of deployment , competitive 4 advantages and functional areas that can
affect Google ' s corporate strategy planner by their broad issues such as corporate culture ,
competition , differentiation , diversification and many other units that can issue with
socialism . Additionally , Google provides a range of products and services starting from
search , online mapping , social network , video , images , maps , adverts , systems and many
more services that help the environment and people with their technol
4.      Does Google need to refocus? How should Google delineate its
corporate boundaries and which businesses or products would you
recommend abandoning or selling (if any)?
google needs to refocus. the point is that all good firms need to review and consider
what they are doing. nothing is constant except change this means that you have to
constantly take in new data bases and assesses.

google should delineate its corporate boundaries by:


first, corporate boundaries refer to the boundaries of municipal corporations.
delineation refers to the action of indicating the exact position of a boarder.
google can delineate corporate boundaries by honoring their  confidentiality agreement
with all employers.
deciding on which projects to be made public and which not to.

the products that i would recommend abandoning or selling are: cables, system
integration, installation and debugging, additional hardware and software and training
and support.

OR
the google company specializes  in Internet-related services and products that include
online technologies, search, cloud computing, software, and hardware. according to me
the company needs to refocus so to target more customers and have a wider market
coverage.
i think that the company should invest in smart phone devices and other electronic
devices that internet enabled to make sure more people use more of their other
products.
i would recommend that they should not to drop any of their products but instead
enhance effectiveness and efficiency of of their products so to retain that competitive
advantage.
