HOW DO I APPLY THE STYLE TO A SHAPE?
This Style can be applied to text or
shapes. Select the text with the selection tool. Open the Graphic Styles panel ("Window > Graphic Styles").
On the top right side, click and select "New Graphic Style".
Than just select the shape you want and choose the style you created.

HOW DO I RESIZE THE STYLE?

In case you want to resize the style applied to text, use the transform tool
(Scale), in order to maintain the proportions. From the Scale Menu, you can
change the definitions for the resizing option.
