Processing Technique
1. The sand should withstand
its own shape during
moulding. It should be sieved
accordingly
and all foreign material is
removed.
2. The drag (the bottom half of
the casting flask) must be
allocated at the lower part of
mould
and a flat halves of the pattern
placed down on it.
3. The sand should be sieved
over the pattern to a depth of at
least 30 mm and it should then
be rammed rigidity. After
satisfactory achieving required
rigidity, the drag must be
levelled
off.
4. Turned over the drag and
fixed the cope flask at the
upper side of the drag flask.
The other
pattern halves should be
assembled and lightly dusted
once again. Insert the sprue
pins and
the assembled of the cavity
was already created for the
metal to run into. Repeat the
sieving
process until achieving
satisfactory rigidity.
5. Separate the cope and drag
by removing the sprue pins.
