Criteria

CREATIVE PRESENTATION
1. The activity is exclusive for the Grade 12 students from GAS and HUMSS.
2. There will be 7 participating teams/sections namely: Darwin, Galilei, Pasteur,
Aquinas, Descartes, Hume, and Locke.
3. The number of participants in each team must be proportional to the number of
enrollees in each class.
4. The related contents for the presentations will be depending on their subject
loads.
5. Given time for the overall presentation in each class will be 7 minutes and that
include the preparations and exit. When it exceeds to the allotted time, this is an
automatic 5 point-deduction.
6. The entries will be judged accordingly with the following criteria:
Substance/Content – 50%
Creativity - 40%
Overall Impact - 10%
100%
7. The scores are added cumulatively.
8. The teams with the highest scores will be ranked and declared as the 1 st Placer,
2nd Placer, and 3rd Placer.

RELIGION AT A GLANCE
1. This contest is by section.
2. Each section is assigned a religion in the world.
3. The representatives of each section perform the Sacred Scripture, Worships
and Observances, Beliefs and Doctrines; and Religious
Practices/Elements of the assigned religion.
4. Costume must be appropriate to the concept created.
5. Every participating section must have 15-20 participants.
6. The presentation of each should not exceed 7 minutes:
 1 minute voice over of the background of the religion. While the voice
over is being played, the participants will enter the stage and their agreed
formation and proper spacing, project a short choreographic interpretation
of the literature/background of the country; and in freeze (dramatic
effect)… pose a gesture of welcome and hospitality practiced by the
assigned section.
 6 minutes presentation including exit
 The choice of music is left to the discretion of the section. Live, canned or
a combination of these is allowed.
7. The entries will be judged accordingly with the following criteria:
Choreography and composition 20%
(Authenticity, interpretation, visual effect)
Performance and Projection 20%
(Enthusiasm Conveyed, Facial Expression, Eye Contact)
Execution of Movement 20%
(Spacing, Formation, Transitions and Flow)
Skills 20%
(Precision, Uniformity and Timing, Rhythm)
Overall Impression 20 %
(Audience appeal, Costumes, Interpretation of
Literature and Music, Religious Elements)
Total 100%
8. The decision of the board of judges shall be final and unappeasable.

RETRO CON MODERN


1. This contest is by section.
2. The dance piece should be composed of dance steps from the 80’s to present.
3. Dance routine should be a minimum of 6 minutes and maximum of 8 minutes’
performance including entrance and exit.
4. Every participating section must have 20-25 participants.
5. All songs used in the performance piece must be appropriate and suitable. Foul
taste in music such as profanity will result in disqualification.
6. Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the program
and those that may harm the performance of other groups. Props such as oil,
confetti, fire, broken glass, live animals, sharp objects and the like are
prohibited.
7. Attire may include accessories such as hats, scarves, caps, gloves, jewelry, etc…
Removing pieces of clothing during is permitted provided it is not offensive or
out of character.
8. Each section must submit their individual competition music to committee the
day before the culmination day.
9. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
Choreography & Style- 30%
Execution - 25%
Concept - 15%
Originality - 10%
Costume - 10%
Audience Impact - 10%
TOTAL - 100%
10.The decision of the board of judges shall be final and unappeasable.

EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEECH
1. The contestant should be a bonafide grade 12 student of HUMSS and GAS
strand.
2. There will be one contestant per section.
3. Contestants should wear complete uniform with ID.
4. Topic of the contest will focus on the societal issues.
5. Contestants will draw a topic from an envelope and will be expected to begin
speaking to that topic after 1 minute preparation.
6. The speech should be delivered in English.
7. Each participant will be given 2 minutes to deliver her/his speech.
8. A speech should deliver in 2 minutes, more that the allotted time shall
automatically disqualify.
9. There will be a timer device to the participant to guide him/her time.
10. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

1. (SUBSTANCE- 50%)
This includes:
 Relevance of Topic
 Originality/Creativity
 Grammar

2. (Delivery- 40%)
This includes
 Quality of Voice
 Diction
 Fluency/ Mastery of the speech
 Pronunciation

3. (Stage Presence- 10%)


This includes:
 Stage Poise
 Gesture
 Appropriate use of the stage

BOOTH COMPETITION
1. The booth competition is by section.
2. There will be 7 participating sections namely: Darwin, Galilei, Pasteur, Aquinas,
Descartes, Hume and Locke.
3. The booth displays all the outputs of the students in all their subjects from Grade
11 to Grade 12.
4. Every section must apply creativity and innovation in presenting their booth.
5. During the competition proper, there must be at most 2 representatives to
present their final output.
6. The entries will be judged accordingly with the following criteria:

Substance/Content - 50%
Creativity - 40%
Presentation - 10%
100%

7. The scores are added cumulatively.


8. The teams with the highest scores will be ranked and declared as the 1 st Placer,
2nd Placer and 3rd Placer.
