Malaysian state of Terengganu. It is a ceremonial dance performed to appease or bring up the sea
emotions, and it is always followed by a unique song known as Ulek Mayang. The dance is
accompanied by an orchestra consisting of drums, gong, violin, and gamelan. According to Ain
hassan (2020), A understanding of music has a wider definition, and it is more relevant to use the
term 'ulik' in the playing ability of Ulik Mayang to refer to something related to the meaning of
the ritual because it involves contact with shamans, magick, and curses.This performing art has
also been established since the beginning. This art dance is believed to have existed in the
eastern part of Malaya around the 18th to 19th century. This art dance is believed to have existed

when the conflict between a bomoh (Shaman) and six sea princesses. The quarrel was caused by
a sea princess who had fallen in love with a fisherman and wanted to marry him. Many
