Question (1):

Identify and describe three ways that you could use to collect information to assist you to get feedback
on a presentation and to review your presentation based on the feedback. Explain how you can use the
information to review your presentation.
Answer:

The ways through which one can collect information to get feedback on a presentation and review
the same on the basis of feedback:

1. Presentation Feedback forms: Students use a presentation peer evaluation form to provide
comments on presentations that their classmates have prepared in the classroom.
2. Social media and emails: Social media and emails are the another way to gather information to
get the feedback. People can give their views and feedback by the way of social media.
3. Presentation evaluation questionnaires and polls: Questionnaires and polls are the best way to
get feedback from the audience.

The ways by which you can use the information to review your presentation is as follows:

1. By discussing points which was memorable to the audience, one can evaluate the presentation.
2. By discussing the main message of presentation, one can evaluate the presentation.

Identify two examples of legislation/regulations that should be considered in planning and delivering a
presentation. For each one you identify, explain how the legislation or regulation impacts on a
presentation.

The two examples of legislation/regulations that should be considered in planning and delivering a
presentation are as follows:

1. Workplace health and safety (WH&S): Workplace health and safety regulation mandates that
workplaces be physically and mentally safe and healthy for all employees, to the extent that is
practically practicable. This means that precautions must be taken to ensure that the workplace
does not affect mental health or exacerbate an existing issue. While making any presentation,
one must consider these factors.
2. Legal requirements: When giving a presentation, keep in mind your legal obligations. Your firm
could face hefty penalties if you do not follow legislative requirements and regulations. A variety
of legal regulations may have an impact on your company.

Identify two examples of organizational obligations and requirements that should be considered in
planning and delivering a presentation. For each one you identify, explain how the organizational
obligation or requirement impacts on a presentation.

1. Organizational goals and objectives: Objectives aid in the definition of goals, the identification
of conflicting activities, the guidance of decision-making aspects, and the responsibility of
employees within an organization. While making any presentation, one should consider the
goals and objectives of the organization.
2. Communication Standards and protocols in the organizations: A communications protocol is a
set of formal rules that describe how to send and receive data over a network. The term
"standardised communications protocol" refers to a protocol that has been codified as a
standard.

Describe three principles of effective communication. Provide an example to illustrate your answer.

The three principles of effective communication are given as under:

1. It is your obligation to ensure that your message is conveyed:


Only you are responsible if there is a breakdown in communication. Consider how you want to
communicate information. Maintain a good balance in how you convey data.
2. Know who you're talking to:
Consider who you are speaking with. Is this a technical team? Are they non-technical in nature?
Is it better to be verbal or visual? Certain people require specific volumes or types of data. For a
boss, there is more information, but for a coworker, there is less..
3. Keep the business environment in mind:
Ascertain that the technical is relevant to the business challenges at hand. As needed, provide
instances or analogies. What do people need to know in order to compete their tasks? And, of
course, maintain a professional demeanor throughout.

Outline two reasons why a presenter may choose to use presentation aids and materials to support
presentations.

Answer:
Benefits of using presentation aids and materials to support presentations are as follows:

1. Increasing audience comprehension:


Presentation aids and materials to support presentations are helpful in improving the
understanding of target audience. One of your primary objectives as a speaker is to ensure that
your audience comprehends your speech. Presentation aids can be used to explain or
accentuate points to prevent misunderstanding.
2. Helpful in increasing Recall and Retention:
The purpose of presenting aids and materials is to increase the likelihood that your audience will
remember your speech. For example: images in the presentation are easy to memorize by the
listener.

Describe two types of presentation aids that can be used to support the presentation. For each one,
explain how you would use the presentation aid or material to support the presentation.

Answer:

The two types of presentation aids that can be used to support the presentation are as follows:

1. Pictures and drawings:


A photograph or a drawing may be the best method to convey an unfamiliar but crucial element.
If you were giving a lecture about the impact of plastics on ocean life, for example, you might
want to add a photo of a beached whale that had inhaled garbage. The photo may illustrate the
impact of plastic in a way that words alone cannot.
2. Maps:
When the information is clear and constrained, maps are tremendously beneficial. There are
many different types of maps, including population, weather, ocean currents, political, and
economic maps, so choose the one that best suits your needs. Select a map that emphasises the
facts you need to convey and the image you want to convey. For instance, you might determine
that a map of the Hawaiian Islands would be useful in clarifying the state's physical dimensions.
Although the map does not show the names of the islands, it is useful in orienting the audience
to the islands' direction and distance from other geographic features such as the Pacific Ocean.

Question (7):

Describe two types of presentation materials that can be used to support the presentation. For each
one, explain how you would use the presentation aid or material to support the presentation.

The two types of presentation materials that can be used to support the presentation:

1. Presentation software:
The use of presentation software and slides to display information to your audience is a
standard practise. You've probably heard of PowerPoint, but there are a few others:
Prezi is a presentation tool that may be found at www.prezi.com.
www.sliderocket.com is a website where you can learn more about Slide Rocket.
Google Slides is a collaborative presentation tool that is available in Google Drive.
2. Putting Together High-Quality Slide Shows:
The concepts of good design should be demonstrated on the slides, which include unity,
emphasis or focal point, scale and proportion, balance, and rhythm. Tone and usability are also
important considerations for presenters.
