“A Note from brAd….”
Allow me to say thanks for all the ladies who worked hard on the Mother/Daughter
banquet. It appeared all had a great time. A special thanks to all the men who either
cooked or helped with serving the food. You guys did a great job!

I am excited about this Sunday, May 15th, being “Friend’s Day”. You are being encouraged
to invite your co-workers, friends, relatives and your long lost puppy dog named “Bogie”.
Well maybe not Bogie, but I think you get the idea. We will have two special drawings for
giveaways, one during each service. The way they will be entered in the contest is by
getting them to our visitor booth before the service and having them fill out one of our
visitor cards. The lucky guests will be awarded their prize at the conclusion of each
service.

Anyone interested in going to the Reds vs. Cubs game on June 8th needs to buy their
ticket on May 22nd in the main lobby. I will order tickets on the 23rd. We are hoping to
get tickets that will not exceed $24.00 per person. The game begins at 12:30 so we meet
at the church by 9:00 A.M. All children will need to be accompanied by a parent or
guardian.

I wanted to leave you today with this note. There is a movement right now stating that the
Lord is going to return on May 21st. At this point, those who are believers are going to be
“Raptured”. As you can see, I have activities planned for May 22nd at FACC. I am not
trying to poke fun at those who make these types of claims. I do however want to remind
you that the scriptures teach that “No man knows the day or the hour, not even the Son
(Jesus) himself.” (Mark 13:32) If Scripture is true, and it is, then I am going to stick with
it. I choose to live each day as if it could be my last. I hope you will do the same. Seek to
live right with your God and look forward to the day “He returns.”

In His Service,
Brad Seevers, (Eph. 3:20-21)

A Lesson To Children
