Technology is considered to be the best and at the same time the worst
invention of all. Some people are very happy about the fact that they have it
while others are very unhappy because of it. Technology has transformed the
world in a very modern way and has affected what people do and how they
learn. Technology has produced many benefits for the world. However, it has
also caused many problems and disadvantages.

Over the past few years, technology has grown a lot. The growth of cell
phones became rapid very fast. In 1997,no 13-year olds that were studied
owned a mobile device,but by 2001 90% of teens interviewed owned one.
Most teenagers and adults carry a cell phone with them now." American Life
Project has found that cell phone ownership among adults has exceeded
90%. Cell phones are now being used by 91% of adults". The teenagers and
adults are going to lose sight on how to communicate with others because of
how addicted they are to their phones. For most millennia's, "texting is an
especially important mode of communication for many teens. Some 88% of
teens have or have access to cell phones or smartphones and 90% of those
teens with phone exchange texts. A typical teen sends and receives 30 texts
per day. That is 30 sentences that could have been face to face, where a
person is forced to express emotion and respond to others. Since a lot of
people have cell phones now,most of them would rather text and call, rather
than communicating face to face. Cell phones have become popular
everywhere in the world." In UK , for example,90% of 16 to 24-year-olds
exchange texts with friends and family at least once a day, followed by social
networking at 74%, mobile phone call at 67%,and face to face contact at 60%.

A cell phone is a modern day distraction. It accompanies us wherever

we go demanding our attention through out the day. Everyone knows that you
need to have physical communication with people because it's healthy but a
lot of us are losing that communication because we are to absorbed in our
phones. Instead of talking face to face with others,we would rather look down
at our phones and scroll through our media social while being talked to,this
problem has evolved quickly. In relationships this has became a problem,
instead of getting their full attention they may be to absorbed in their phones
which could be ruining your relationship. A cell phone shouldn't be a reason
why your significant other can't be getting your full attention. "A survey found
that almost three quarters of women in committed relationship feel that
smartphones are interfering with their love life and are seducing the amount of
time they spend with their partner". If people can't maintain a relationship
because of a cell that's an issue. A lot of people these days are struggling with
communication already because they don't know what to say when they are in
silence so instead they look at their phone.

The value from this topic is sometimes advancement in technology can

give us a lot of benefits if we use it in smart way but at the same time it also
can give us disadvantage if we misuse it. Logically, new technology give us
more convenience for us such as communicating with someone
who live far away. Moreover, we can find a lot of new information in the
internet. But, in my opinion, time management during using technology is the
main point to get a lot of benefits rather than the disadvantages. When a
human stepping to the new level the feeling we call curiosity will become
stronger. That make us wants to explore everything in the internet. So parents
must supervise his children to using technology in the right way.

In my opinion, communication technology helps people many ways.

Communication Technology helps people easily communicate to others and
makes life more convenient. Although communication brings a lot of benefits,
but have disadvantages too. So, people must responsible while using the
communication technology properly. In addition, the communication
technology had a major impact on the world as it taken over replacing a lot of
jobs. I believe that communication technology will get better and bigger more
each days.
