Have you ever thought about the difference between Disney World and Disneyland? The

first answer that comes to mind is one is in Orlando, Florida and the other is in Anaheim ,

California. There are a lot more differences between the two. My research question is, Which

United States Disney Park would be a better fit for you to travel too?

On July 17, 1955 Disneyland opened to the public, later on Disneyland decided that they

wanted to open another park to expand their space and on February 8, 2001, Disney opened

Disney’s California Adventure . For Disney World, the Magic Kingdom opened on October 1st,

1971. Later on Disney opened EPCOT, which was a theme park about different cultures around

the world, which opened on October 1st, 1982. Then we had Hollywood Studios, which was a

theme park originally about being behind the sense of a movie, which opened May 1st, 1989.

Lastly Disney decided to open an animal themed park with a whole safari, called Animal

Kingdom on April 22 , 1998.

The Disney Parks are known for having good food sometimes and bad food other times,

Sometimes it depends on the place, sometimes Disney cares more about the theming of the

restaurant better than food, and then you have if Disney World or Disneyland does the food

better. There are sometimes in Disney where a type of food is better at one park than the other.
The rides are one if not the biggest reasons people go to the Disney Parks. There are a lot

of duplicate rides, but there are a lot of completely different rides too. Like for example, Disney

World and Disneyland that are themed the same, Splash Mountain and Space Mountain. As they

are themed the same there are some differences. The Splash Mountain in Disney World seats two

per row, as the Disneyland Splash Mountain is like a typical log, where you seat one party per

log and you sit one per “row”, and has an extra sense that the one in Disney World does not

have. The Space Mountain in Disney World seats one per row with six rows per train. The

Disneyland Space Mountain seats two per row and goes upside down unlike the one at Disney

World. There are also rides that are the same, but have different theming, for example Radiator

Spring Racer in Disney’s California Adventure and Test Track. If you watch the two videos side

by side they are almost identical. The only main difference is the section before the outdoor part

and then in Radiator Springs Racer you are racing unlike test track, and the theming where on

Test Track is about building and testing a car, Radiator Springs Racer is about joining Lightning

McQueen and Racing another car. Another example is with Tower of Terror and Guardian of the

Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT.

The Disney Parks are known for their impeccable theming. For some people one of the

biggest decisions when picking a park is the theming. Some people will only pick Disney World

for the Toy Story Land and some people would pick Disneyland specifically because they have

Carsland. Theming is what makes Disney, Disney.

A huge misconception with choosing a Disney Park is that if you choose the wrong one ,

you will have the worst trip ever. Either you pick will be a good choice, it is just the small

details that will be changed. You still have the same type of atmosphere, rides, and characters. It

will just differ a little bit.
